Okay, so the first word that comes to my mind when I think of this movie is wow. I watched Dunkirk for the first time last night and I can honestly say it will go down as one of the most incredible movie experiences I’ve ever had. First of all the movie is very loud so just be prepared. Secondly, it’s very psychological, like all of Christopher Nolan’s movies are. When I left that theater everything I heard, from cars driving by to literally a refrigerator in Target, sounded like the motors of those planes in that movie. Yeah, I was losing my mind for about an hour. Third, it’s official now, Christopher Nolan is my favorite director of all time. He has surpassed the legendary Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson, Ridley Scott, Alfred Hitchcock, etc. The way he makes movies is mind-boggling. He pours so much thought and effort into making a movie perfect that when you eventually see the result it looks like Dunkirk. If he doesn’t get an Oscar for best director for the stunning job he did on this movie I’ll be utterly flabbergasted.
Now I’m going to talk a little bit about the movie without going into too much detail which is going to be kind of difficult. There are so many things I want to talk about but I’ll have to wait until my post chock full of spoilers to do that. So on that note let me say what I thought about this movie for you folks who haven’t seen it yet.

Last week was Comic-Con and there were so much amazing announcements, interviews, etc. that I’m still writing about it, yay. One of my favorite elements about movies are the posters. Posters tell you everything about how epic a movie is going to be and Marvel released some pretty cool posters for their upcoming movies for me to analyze. So on that note let me start talking about them.

Logan has been out on Digital and Blu-Ray for several weeks now and I’ve been waiting to finally see it. Leading up to its premiere in theaters I was excited about it. The first trailer was amazing and always gave me chills when I watched it. And then as it got closer to the movie coming out I was hoping it would be good. I didn’t end up getting to see it in the movies but I wanted to see it at home. Now, unfortunately, I had already learned that (Spoiler Alert! Do not read any further if you don’t want to know what happens in this movie) Logan ended up dying in the film which was shocking considering that Jack Hughman had been playing the character, Wolverine since I think 2000. That made me want to see the movie even more.

So Comic-Con is officially over and there were a lot of announcements from Marvel and DC Comics. In terms of Marvel the cast for Ant-Man and the Wasp was revealed, Captain Marvel is going to be an origin film set in the 90s’, and Black Panther released a little bit more from the movie. DC Comics showed off the new outfits for the heroes in Justice League, they announced that their next movie after Aquaman next December will be about Shazam, and they showed a short clip from the actual Aquaman movie. But what was, of course, the biggest reveals were the trailers. I’ve seen them and I have to say they’re pretty good. The first I’m going to show is Justice League. Take a look:

Kylo Ren is already one of the coolest villains ever. He had two of the best scenes in The Force Awakens, the first one being when he first revealed his actual face to Rey, and the second being when he (sniff sniff) faced his father, Han Solo, on the bridge. Now he’s looking even cooler in The Last Jedi with his scarred face, his brand new long cloak, his new outfit, and of course, his patented crossguard lightsaber. But because he just wasn’t cool enough (shrug) he now has his own special ship to fly around the dark depths of space. Spoiler Alert! If you would rather stay in the dark about anything from The Last Jedi please do not read any further. Okay, here’s his ship.

There aren’t many cute creatures in the Star Wars universe and when there are they are beyond adorable. There are, of course, the Ewoks but I’m not a fan of the singing, violent teddy bears. There’s BB-8 who is, at the moment, the sweetest, most adorable droid in the galaxy. And even Chewbacca is cute at times. The Last Jedi will now add some creatures to that small list and I’m excited. Spoiler Alert! Now if you would really like to avoid any spoilers for The Last Jedi I would advise you to discontinue reading this post. Okay, here they are.

I love Disney and I love their movies, from The Incredibles and The Lion King to The Avengers and Star Wars. For the past seven or so years, Disney has released all of these live-action adaptations of their famous animated films like The Jungle Book as well as classic fairy tales like Beauty and the Beast. Now to add to that list of movies Disney is releasing their take on a children’s classic, A Wrinkle In Time and a trailer has finally been released.
