The Coolest Vehicles in Star Wars

One of my favorite things in Star Wars is the awesome vehicles. There’s the Millenium Falcon, Padme’s multiple, glamorous ships, Star Destroyers, speeders, walkers, I mean there are so many. So, I am here to tell you which vehicles I happen to love the most in the Star Wars Universe. Enjoy!

18. First Order Tie Fighter

I loved the original tie fighters. Their vertical wings, the circular cockpit, everything about these ships is awesome. The First Order, however, has upped the beauty of the infamous tie fighter and made them even cooler. These new tie fighters had to grace a spot on my list.

17. Combat Assault Tank

Rogue One brought a lot of new, very cool vehicles and characters to the Star Wars universe. This happened to be one of them. In no other Star Wars film has there been tanks which only makes these Combat Assault Tanks that much more special.

16. Sith Infiltrator

Darth Maul was cool on every level. Even Darth Maul’s ship was incredible. Even though his ship is only seen once it has sparked my imagination since I was a little girl. This was definitely getting on the list.

15. Imperial Star Destroyer

What would this list be without the wonderful Imperial Star Destroyer being a part of it? It’s sleek yet large, powerful, and it’s simply awesome. I love Star Destroyers.

14. Swoop

I’m not a fan of The Attack of the Clones. Nearly every aspect of it, even the lightsaber duels at the end, is absolutely terrible. I will say though, I love this speeder bike. It’s an interesting shape. I love its ruggedness, I love how it sounds and it is my favorite speeder in Star Wars.

13. Zeta-Class Imperial Shuttle

Like the Combat Assault Tank, this was another inventive design in Rogue One that blew my mind. I love its lights and its four wings. Yeah, four wings! I also love that its interior is pretty sizeable despite its smaller appearance. If there was a life-size model of this ship I’d explore all of its nooks and crannies.

12. Naboo N-1 Starfighter

These are some of my favorite fighters in Star Wars. They’re so elegant and shiny and they are very uniquely designed. I wish there were more ships with this sort of beauty in Star Wars.

11. Naboo Royal Starship

Yes, another Naboo vessel. I mean look at it though. It isn’t stunning? This was Queen Amidala’s ship in The Phantom Menace and I always found it so beautiful to look at.

10. Naboo Royal Cruiser

And this is my favorite of the elegant Naboo ships Ms. Amidala had throughout the prequels. The beginning of The Attack of the Clones has one of my favorite beginnings of all of the Star Wars films because of this ship. Its four motors, the way it descends into the white clouds, it’s simply a gorgeous opening to the movie. Too bad the actual movie wasn’t as great.

9. Finalizer

This special new aged Star Destroyer, which is shared by General Hux and Kylo Ren, is already awesome as it is. What differentiates it, however, from other Star Destroyers throughout the Star Wars films and why it happened to make my list is the very point of the ship. I love that it has the same crossguard symbol as Kylo Ren’s lightsaber which is so awesome. It also provides a great beginning to The Force Awakens which only helps elevate its status on my list.

8. AT-AT Walkers

What would the Battle of Hoth be without the infamous AT-AT walkers? These vehicles have always fascinated me since the first time I saw them. They were such huge, frightening vessels that could perform so much damage to people and bases alike. This was such a great creation in the Star Wars universe and are still being updated now thanks to Rogue One and the upcoming Star Wars film, The Last Jedi. I can’t wait to see what the First Order versions of the AT-AT Walkers will look like.

7. Tie Striker

This was another one of those awesome new designs that came out of Rogue One. They had, of course, the regular tie fighters in the movie but they also happened to introduce the lethal Tie Striker. These ships are so beautiful. Ever since I first saw them in the film I have thought this was, hands down, the coolest model for the tie fighters yet…until now but I’ll get to that later.

6. U-Wing

As I write this post I’m realizing how many designs and models I loved from Rogue One because here is yet another one. I’ve never been a fan of the X-Wing (except for Poe’s black X-Wing,) or the Y-Wing or the A-Wing for that matter. The U-Wing is the first fighter of the Rebel Alliance and the Resistance that I really, really like. First of all, it really does have a U-shape which I appreciate. Secondly, I love how its wings are to the sides of the ship when landed and then turn into the U-shape when in flight. That’s so awesome! This is definitely one of my favorite ships.

5. Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle

Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle is hands down the coolest shuttle in Star Wars. The red and black, the massive upright wings, it’s an impeccable design. And it has Kylo Ren, one of the best villains ever, on board. Yeah, this is an awesome ship.

4. Tie Silencer

Yeah I know, this ship hasn’t even been seen in action yet but look at it. First of all, it’s Kylo Ren’s personal tie fighter and I’m really hoping I get to see him use it. That would be so awesome!!! Secondly, its cockpit design is beyond gorgeous. Oncit’sgain its got that black and red theme going on and I love that its wings are kind of going off of the Tie Striker’s design. All in all, I don’t even have to see The Last Jedi yet to know this is one of my favorite vehicles in Star Wars.

3. Slave 1

This is a great ship, period. The main reason why it’s so unique is that it lays down when it lands. You’re literally facing the sky when you sit in the cockpit. How cool is that?! This ship also happens to provide the one scene I really enjoy in The Attack of the Clones which is the space fight (or more like space chase) between Jango Fett, baby Boba, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. I don’t think we’ll see a design for a vehicle this different and cool in Star Wars for a while.

2. Millenium Falcon

I know this decision to have the Millenium Falcon as the second coolest vehicle in the galaxy is blasphemous but there is one ship I actually like more than this one. That doesn’t, however, diminish the Millenium Falcon’s coolness, not in the slightest. I’m always confused when people say the Millenium Falcon looks like a piece of junk because to me it is beautiful in its own, I guess, junky way. And the fact that I can enjoy seeing the famed ship on the movie screen nowadays just like my parents did makes it extra special. The Millenium Falcon will always have a place in my heart.

1. And last but not least, the Solar Sailer

Yes, this is my favorite vehicle in the Star Wars universe and this is why. First off, it’s beautiful, gorgeous, mysterious, noble looking, everything that I want a ship to be is in the design of this ship. Secondly, I love how it has a translucent sail that folds in and out whether the passenger is in orbit or traveling through the vast reaches of space. This ship was another one of those unfortunate mishaps of the prequels. It is such an incredible ship yet it got so little screen time. You only see it once in the movies and it, to me, simply isn’t long enough. I would love to see another version of these Geonosian built crafts sometime later in the future of Star Wars films. Until then I will just have to watch the end of The Attack of the Clones to see it.

So, that’s my long list of my favorite vehicles in the Star Wars universe. I thank you for reading my post. I would love to know what you think is the coolest vehicle in the Star Wars universe. And as always, to all of you Star Wars fans like me, May the Force Be With You.
