It’s Force Friday!

It’s the first day of September and it’s finally Force Friday!!! Now, I thought Force Friday was just a marketing campaign focused solely for children by bringing out toys based on the upcoming Star Wars film. I have never been so happy to be wrong. Force Friday isn’t just about bringing out toys and other children’s products. There are also new books to read that are vital parts of the new canon and I am so excited! This is truly the beginning of the countdown to The Last Jedi and I’m kind of shocked at how quickly everything is happening. Here are the books I can’t wait to get.

The Books!

I am truly excited for these new Star Wars books. There’s this one:

I can already tell that this book is going to be so much fun to read. I’ve just recently finished reading Bloodline and I loved it. I love Claudia Gray’s writing style, I loved the political take on Star Wars, and I loved delving deep into Leia’s mind and finding out how she really feels about the things that have happened in the galaxy. The other week I wrote a post about the Star Wars stories I would like to see happen and one of them was a Leia movie. Well, it seems like LucasFilm heard my wishes because this book is exactly what I wanted to see.

It follows Leia when she turns sixteen and discovers her parents’ involvement with the rebel alliance. She, of course, wants to join their cause and wants to prove that she can help them in their fight against the Empire.

I’m going to be so excited when I get this book.

The second one I’m really interested to read is:

This book is even more interesting than Leia, Princess of Alderaan. First of all, I love the book cover. It’s dark, it’s menacing, and it’s simply brilliant. Captain Phasma was an awesome addition to The Force Awakens but she was barely even used in the movie. Thankfully LucasFilm realized their mistake and decided to increase her importance by giving her, hopefully, a bigger role in The Last Jedi and bringing out this book and a comic book dedicated to solely her.

This story will introduce her past, her present, and will delve deeper into the person behind the chrome mask. I am so intrigued by Phasma. Not only is she cool looking but she has to be somebody very important to have such a high position in the First Order and this book will undoubtedly tell us why.

When I get Phasma I’m going to dedicate an entire day just to reading and finishing this book, that’s how excited I am.

And finally, there’s this:

The Captain Phasma comic book. I’m not a fan of comic books, in fact, I’ve never really read a comic book, but this is one I am definitely interested in. It will show how she escaped from StarKiller Base which I’m so happy about because then that mystery will be solved. And also, I’m sure the pictures will be fascinating to look at. I mean, look at this cover. It’s already gorgeous!

There are of course other wonderful things to get like these beautiful necklaces,

Aren’t These AMAZING?!!!

and these really, really cool T-shirts.

If I had to pick one of the shirts I would probably pick the Good and Evil Shirt just because who doesn’t a shirt with all of the main characters on it? The Gold Fleck Shirt is pretty too though, wow. And the Raised Right Fist Shirt, I am so blown away. This merchandise is absolutely incredible!

Well, that’s my post for today. I hope this has made you as excited as me because I. Am. Ecstatic! Thank you for reading and, because this is the only way you can say farewell on Force Friday, May the Force Be With You.
