2017 was a fun year for movies and this year is going to be even better in terms of all of the incredible films that are coming out. And so, here are the movies I can’t wait to see this year. Enjoy!
When Black Panther debuted in Captain America: Civil War I was an immediate fan of this marvelous superhero. His suit was sleek and beautiful and his character was a perfect addition to the film. When I found out he was getting his own movie I was so excited! Now it’s coming out in little over a month and I can’t wait to see it break records left and right.
Next week there’s going to be a special preview of Black Panther during the College Football Championship and I believe that it’s probably just going to be an extended commercial but it if is something like an official sneak peek at the movie I’m going to be ecstatic. I can’t wait to see this movie!
Avengers: Infinity War
Ever since The Avengers came out in 2012 I have been a major Marvel fan and now that the time has finally come to see what all of these films have boiled down to in these two Avengers movies I am beyond excited to see what happens.
This is one of the most highly-anticipated films of the year and I just can’t wait to see what the Russo Brothers do with this incredible story.
Solo: A Star Wars Story
There hasn’t been a lot of information about this film yet but with the movie coming out in what, four months, the time has nearly come for LucasFilm and Disney to share a teaser for this movie. Now, I’m excited to see this film but I’m also very, very skeptical. This is a movie that’s supposed to tell us about the backstory of the iconic character, Han Solo, and that’s a huge risk LucasFilm has taken. There are a lot of people, including me, who love Han Solo and to mess with his legacy is very risky.
I’m hoping that after the first teaser I’ll have nothing but good things to say about it but we’ll see.
I’ve watched Ocean’s 11, 12, and 13 and now that they’re making an Ocean’s film with only women I’m kind of excited to see this film. And not only is it an all-female cast but they’ve got a stellar cast. Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, etc. It’s going to be awesome. I’m really hoping that it ends up better than every other Ocean’s film that has been made so far.
I. Love. The. Incredibles! When I was a child I watched this movie nearly every day, I loved this film that much. And every time the movie ended I always said to myself, “When will the next movie come out?” It took so long that I had given up hope that there would be a sequel. And then it was announced that there was going to be an Incredibles 2 and I lost my mind.
This was my favorite children’s movie and I can’t wait to see this long-awaited sequel. It’s going to be off the chain.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
I watched Jurassic World and while I did enjoy all of the dinosaurs in the film and the incredible action scenes the overall movie wasn’t that great. Now a teaser for its sequel has come out and yes, I didn’t enjoy it as much as I had hoped I would but I am still excited to see this movie and the screaming T-Rex.
Ant-Man and The Wasp
I didn’t enjoy Ant-Man but I definitely am excited to see its sequel because Captain America: The First Avenger wasn’t good but Captain America: The Winter Soldier ended up becoming my favorite Marvel movie. I can’t wait to see the teaser for this film and I’m hoping it’ll be good.
Mission Impossible 6
I love the Mission Impossible series and I’m so glad they’re making another one. A teaser trailer hasn’t debuted yet but I’m already excited to see this movie. I highly enjoyed Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation and I know for a fact that the sixth installment in this series is going to be just as enjoyable. I can’t wait to see the trailer for this film.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
I’ve loved the Harry Potter series ever since I was a little girl and now they’ve brought a new series to the magical world J.K Rowling has created. I watched the first Fantastic Beasts film and I didn’t like it all. In fact, I couldn’t even finish the film, that’s how horrendous it was but I have a feeling that its sequel is going to be much more enjoyable. At least I hope so. 🙂 When the teaser trailer comes out I’ll see if it’s good or not.
Aquaman made his debut in Justice League and while I’m very glad that they made Aquaman actually really cool with the casting of Jason Momoa they didn’t give his character any justice (get what I did there?) in the film. I’m hoping his standalone movie will be very enjoyable though because I love this new Aquaman.
I never liked the blond, orange suited version of this underwater hero but this muscular hippy dude version of the Atlantean king is much, much better. When the teaser trailer comes out I can’t wait to see it and I hope it’s as enjoyable as Wonder Woman’s teaser was.
Well, these are the movies I’m most excited to see. I’m sure there will be some other films that come out this year that I’ll want to watch but these are the movies that I can’t wait to see so far.
I hope you’ve enjoyed and I thank you for reading. Have a wonderful day and a happy new year.
