The Live-Action ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Is a Beautiful Take On A Fairy Tale Classic

Today I finally watched the live-action version of Beauty and the Beast and I can honestly say I highly enjoyed it. Here’s a rundown on what I know of Beauty and the Beast. I never watched the animated Disney Beauty and the Beast film, I missed that bandwagon, but I did own a book of the fairy tale when I was a child and I LOVED it. I read it over and over again and so to see the movie brought back all of that nostalgia from when I was little girl.

When this movie was coming out last year there was so MUCH publicity surrounding the film I didn’t want to watch it but now that it’s been just over a year since it burst into theaters I’ve finally seen it and I am very happy that I did. I tried to watch Cinderella and couldn’t finish it but Beauty and the Beast was much better and I am here to share with you my review of the movie. Enjoy!

The Evolution of Hawkeye

Hawkeye has always been a character that hasn’t had a huge spotlight on him throughout his Marvel movie experience. He’s memorable and forgettable at the same time, he’s there but he’s overshadowed by the more popular heroes such as Captain America and Iron Man, and yet he is kind of the voice of reason that keeps these heroes from killing each other. Hawkeye might be the least popular Avenger but he has brought a lot of backbone to the superhero team and I’m excited to share with you his evolution throughout his various movies. Enjoy!

Thor (2011)

Hawkeye made his first appearance in Thor as a brief cameo and while he didn’t do anything special it was his small but rather awesome debut into the MCU.

The Avengers (2012)

Hawkeye’s role in The Avengers was part villain part hero and even though he didn’t do anything special or very memorable in the movie he stood out to me because he was a S.H.I.E.L.D agent with a bow and arrow! That was pretty cool.

Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

When Hawkeye returned in Age of Ultron I was definitely excited to see him again but I was hoping that he would finally be given a deeper story. Every other Avenger had been given a story that I could follow and understand but Hawkeye was just left sitting dry with no meaning to the movies whatsoever other than being an Avenger. I was hoping Age of Ultron would change that. Well, it did.

I still remember the surprise I felt when they revealed in the film that he had a secret family living on a farm in the middle of nowhere. It was a shocking and realistic reveal that brought a lot more meaning to his character and made him worth caring about. It was also cool seeing how normal of a guy he really was. Everyone else is so consumed in their own issues and the state of the world and here is just worrying about the new baby he’s about to have. Now when I look at Hawkeye I don’t exactly think of him is as the boring Avenger anymore and that’s a great development they provided him in this movie.

Captain America: Civil War (2016)

Civil War was a great movie as it brought so many heroes into one movie. It even took Hawkeye out of his temporary retirement, which was too bad, considering that he got locked up for becoming a world fugitive, but it was definitely nice seeing him in the movie interacting with all of the old and new characters that had been brought to the table. I especially liked his interaction with Black Panther. It is hands down one of the funniest interactions between two Marvel characters out of all of the movies.

Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

I’m so excited to see this film and with every day that passes it’s getting closer and closer. *squeal* I can’t wait. But throughout most of the marketing for this movie a certain question has continued to linger; Where is Hawkeye? Well, while he hasn’t been promoted in the latest batch of marketing throughout the past few months Hawkeye can be seen on this poster in the upper right corner so he will have some involvement in the film. He’ll probably just have a cameo appearance in the movie but we’ll wait to see.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a fabulous day.
