Here Are the Ways the Dead Heroes in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Can Return in ‘Avengers 4’

As I’m sure you all know by now (if you don’t know then discontinue reading this NOW because there are MAJOR spoilers ahead) a lot of people died in Avengers: Infinity War. I mean, a LOT! So many in fact that it’s kind of obvious that they’ll be brought back in the next Avengers film but here’s the question: How can they be brought back from the dead to return to fight Thanos in a last battle worthy of this Avengers finale? Well, that’s what I’m here to theorize and I hope you enjoy. 🙂

Vision

Vision is the only Avenger who died twice in Infinity War but he just might be the luckiest of the deceased bunch and this is why. When he was killed the first time Scarlet Witch destroyed the Mind Stone and in the process he literally exploded into a million tiny particles but Thanos turned back the time and still plucked the stone from his head anyway. But when the stone was removed from his head he became a lifeless grey husk of what Vision once was and while that was of course horrifying there’s still hope for Vision coming back and this is how.

Because he’s basically a robot who feeds off of the Mind Stone for life if Shuri (granted if she’s still alive and didn’t evaporate) could somehow find a new energy source powerful enough to sustain him he could be resurrected and we would have Vision alive once again, except without the Mind Stone this time around. Of course he wouldn’t be as powerful as when he had the Infinity Stone but I’m sure his anger for the loss of Scarlet Witch and the devastating annihilation of the galaxy would spur him on to become an even mightier hero than he has ever been. Sounds awesome to me. 🙂

Gamora

While Gamora’s troubling death/sacrifice was undoubtedly one of the shockers of the movie there is a chance she can be brought back. Let’s say in the next movie the Avengers have to basically reverse everything bad that happened by reclaiming the stones. If they can somehow take back the soul stone and return it to Vormir they can revive Gamora’s soul and she’ll be brought back to life. I think it would be great to resurrect Gamora and have her return to the fight against Thanos with an even deeper grudge. I have a feeling she really would be “the most dangerous woman in the galaxy” after what she went through.

All of the Evaporated Heroes

The main reason why I know the characters that disintegrated before all of our eyes are going to be brought back to life in one way or another is because of the really important characters like Spider-Man and Doctor Strange and Black Panther. Both Spider-Man and Black Panther have already had sequels announced for them and so there’s no way they’re going to have those movies without these characters…right? I mean, Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 is coming out after Infinity War and that couldn’t be the case if Spider-Man wasn’t revived by that time.

Now how can they be revived? Simple. The Avengers need to go back in time. Something is going to have to happen where the Avengers that are currently alive will go back in time and try to stop Thanos from ever creating the terrible future that happens at the end of Infinity War. And I did see rumors for Avengers 4 that there would be some time travel of sorts so this theory might not be as far fetched as it seems.

But here’s the catch to these heroes possibly being revived. I have a feeling Marvel is setting up a next phase where these new powerhouses like Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, etc. will become the new faces of the franchise and the old heroes like Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, they’ll be the ones to bite the sword at the end of Avengers 4, further cementing a new dawn for the future of Marvel. That’s, of course, a saddening realization but I think it’s the best choice moving forward so that Marvel can continue to make compelling movies for another ten years to come.

These are my theories on how these characters can be brought back from the dead and I’m excited to see if these theories might end up being correct. I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day.

      1. Yeah. Me too! I really hope they don’t make Thanos do it again if they DO turn back time in the movie. That would suck! Also, did you know that the people that evaporated actually didn’t DIE? They got sucked INTO the Soul Stone! So, if they got the Soul Stone, they could maybe reverse it and get the heroes out of it! 🙂

      2. You’re welcome! I didn’t know about that until yesterday; I was reading an article about it. Also, did you know that the person Nick Fury paged was CAPTAIN MARVEL?!?! So she’s going to be in the next movie, AND they’re making a movie about her!

      3. Yeah, wasn’t that an AWESOME post-credits scene. I’m getting chills just thinking about it. And here’s the even greater news about her standalone film. ‘Captain Marvel’ was set to come out next March but because Disney isn’t having a ‘Star Wars’ movie in the December slot for this year they’re moving ‘Captain Marvel’ to this December. I am so EXCITED!!! (Thank you Marvel. :))

      4. I can’t wait to see why she’s called Captain Marvel. It sounds a little ridiculous but I’m sure there’s an awesomely legitimate reason for her name…like Doctor Strange.
