I’m So Excited for ‘Incredibles 2’!

I still haven’t seen Incredibles 2 yet but I’m set to finally get a chance to see it tomorrow and I couldn’t be more ecstatic. I have been waiting for this moment for over a decade and to hear that it has garnered positive reviews and has made the most money in an opening-weekend than any other animated film. That’s so awesome. A lot of times people make sequels and prequels and three-quels but a lot of times those movies lose that same magic the predecessor once had. Only a few films have managed to break that curse and I’m so glad to hear that Incredibles 2 is one of those exceptions.

I can’t wait to share with you my experience and review of the movie tomorrow and like I said before, I am SO excited! 🙂

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day.

The ‘Avengers 4’ Title Might Have Been Leaked and I Am Excited

Marvel leaks have been quite abundant lately as Tom Holland accidentally leaked the Spider-Man sequel’s title last week on Instagram, Spider-Man: Far from Home, and now it seems that the cinematographer for the upcoming Avengers sequel has dropped a leak of his own as he has told people on his website what the title for the highly anticipated Avengers film is. This is what he said the movie is going to be called.

Avengers: End Game.

The Russo Brothers and Marvel Studios haven’t confirmed this is the actual title of the film so this cinematographer may be simply toying with our minds as we desperately wait for as much news of this film as we can. It does sound like a legitimate name for the sequel though as Doctor Strange told Tony Stark after Thanos took the Time Stone that they’re in the “end game” now.

If this is just a diversion title then I would be okay with that but if this is the actual name for Avengers 4 then I can’t help but be excited for this news.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day. 🙂

I Think There Were Force Connections Before ‘The Last Jedi’

If you’ve read my previous post you will know that I have recently watched Revenge of the Sith and to my great surprise I think I discovered another secret Force connection but not from The Last Jedi but instead from a movie made over a decade before it; Revenge of the Sith. There’s a scene after Anakin is told to wait in the Jedi Council by Mace Windu that highlights a quiet but emotional moment between Anakin and Padme Amidala.

They are both sitting in a chair deep in thought with a window to their backs and slowly, as they seem to sense one another, they go to look out the window.

They both seem to stare at each other even though they are miles apart. Padme gazes at the Jedi temple across the way.

And Anakin stares at the apartment building they live in across the way. Both of their faces are creased with emotion and while they may not know it, they’re practically looking at one another eye to eye.

You see, I don’t think this is as strong a Force connection as say the meetings between Rey and Kylo Ren where they were literally in the presence of one another but rather a different connection where they can sense each other and are linked in a strange bond they can’t rid themselves of. And this isn’t the only time this has happened.

In Attack of the Clones when Padme and Anakin find themselves in the dreadful droid factory they both face death at the same time (Padme almost gets covered in molten lava, Anakin almost becomes chopsui thanks to a giant axe) before finally getting caught.

And then there’s the parallel between these two lovebirds as Anakin gets medically attended to fully become the Darth Vader we all know and love and Padme is medically aided as she gets ready to bring Luke and Leia into the world. The scene cuts back and forth between them, each of them experiencing pain in different ways. Anakin’s mutilated body is the source of his pain and Padme’s is her childbirth. And they both end up dying as well, as Padme dies from supposed lack of will to go on and the man that was Anakin Skywalker is destroyed by his new identity, Darth Vader.

All three of these scenes hint at the idea that there were Force connections before The Last Jedi was even thought of. Of course, they are not as elaborate and personal as the ones in The Last Jedi where two people can hold hands across an entire galaxy but the concept is still there and that’s pretty cool.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this theory and whether there should be more Force connections in the future. I thank you for reading and I hope you have a beautiful day. May the Force be with you.

Reevaluating ‘Revenge of the Sith’ After ‘The Last Jedi’

Since Disney has acquired Lucasfilm I haven’t watched the prequel trilogy as often as I once did because it’s become less enjoyable over the years. After The Force Awakens my enjoyment of the prequels lessened considerably but then after Rogue One it’s rare for me to want to watch a prequel film, or at least be able to watch a prequel through one sitting. So imagine my surprise when I suddenly got the urge to watch Revenge of the Sith last night. I haven’t sat down and really watched this movie in years. What would make we want to watch it now? But there was this certain sense, this urge I felt to see how I perceive Revenge of the Sith after the somewhat shortcomings of The Last Jedi. So, I turned it on and I watched it.

It was amazing. George Lucas may have gotten a lot of things wrong with his prequels but I have to admit, Revenge of the Sith is a brilliant display of storytelling when looked at through unbiased eyes. The movie’s one blaring mishap (Anakin and Padme) isn’t from a storytelling perspective but an act of bad casting. If Adam Driver had been Anakin and let’s say, from an acting stand point, Oscar Winning Felicity Jones was Padme the story would’ve obtained a complexity that just isn’t grasped from Hayden Christensen’s a-tad-bit-annoying performance and Natalie Portman’s clearly unenthusiastic take on the character. They, however, are really the only blight on the movie and when I looked past them and enjoyed the movie for what it is I realized how surprisingly incredible the movie actually is.

Should the Knights of Ren Still Wear Masks in ‘Episode IX’?

Episode IX is getting close to officially beginning filming and that means news about the film will probably be released within the next half year or so. One of the few, if only, topic that was not tampered with in The Last Jedi were the Knights of Ren.

We were introduced to the dark group in The Force Awakens through conversations between Snoke and Kylo Ren and a disturbing vision Rey obtained where we saw a quick flash of them. I think they were subtly hinted towards in The Last Jedi as Luke told Rey Ben Solo left his former burning Jedi temple with a handful of his students which definitely sounds like a nod towards the Knight of Ren. And it seems kind of inevitable that they will make their first official debut in this upcoming trilogy finale but things have changed since The Force Awakens.

Snoke is dead and Kylo Ren is the new Supreme Leader. And he has destroyed his old mask, no longer feeling that he needed to hide behind it anymore as it was a sign of weakness rather than intimidation or strength. So, will he let his fellow Knights of Ren followers to continue to be masked or will we finally get to see the faces behind these scary helmets?

A Live-Action ‘Titans’ Show Is Coming Out Later This Year and Yet I’m Not Excited

Disney is making their own special streaming service which will feature movies, new shows under the Star Wars and Marvel franchises, and plenty of new entertainment to watch and it seems that DC Comics is doing the same thing as they’re bringing out their own DC Universe streaming service later this year which will feature plenty of original content as well. One of the shows that will appear on the streaming service is a live-action Titans show focusing on a group of young heroes led by none other than Robin.

I have to tell you, I’m a huge fan of the Teen Titans. I watched the animated Teen Titans show that lasted from 2003-2006 as a child and I LOVED it. When it finally stopped coming on I was kind of sad to see the Teen Titans go off air. Then Cartoon Network made another Teen Titans cartoon but switched it around into a hilarious comedy that I never miss because it’s so funny. One of the things I’ve always wanted to see, however, was a live-action Teen Titans film or tv show and the DC Universe streaming service is bringing that dream of mine to fruition. But now that I’ve seen a few behind-the-scenes pictures highlighting some of the characters I’m incredibly disappointed in how it looks. Here are the pictures.

Qi’Ra or Lando: Who Should Have Their Own ‘Star Wars’ Story?

In the past week rumors have been circulating that Lucasfilm is putting a halt to the Star Wars stories and thankfully those wild rumors have been laid to rest, allowing me to continue to brainstorm about the characters in Star Wars who should have their own standalone films in the future. Solo definitely hinted at the possibility of a sequel but there also could be plenty of spin-offs stemming from the movie’s characters as it introduced us to characters who not only played impeccable roles in the film but also were surprisingly interesting at the same time. One of those brand new faces was Qi’Ra, a mysterious femme fatale with a dark secret. And then one of the more familiar faces belonged to Lando who became an instant fan favorite after Donald Glover’s suave rendition of the character. Between these two characters who brought such enjoyment to the film which should end up getting their own Star Wars story? That’s what I’m here to share with you. Enjoy!
