Recently after Solo unfortunately flopped at the box office it was reported that Lucasfilm would be placing their Star Wars Stories on hold but that doesn’t seem to be the case as more concrete news about the Obi-Wan movie has surfaced.
Apparently details have arrived that Lucasfilm will begin filming the Obi-Wan standalone film next April and that the first location for the filming will be in Belfast, Northern Ireland. (That sounds like an epic location.) 🙂
This is great news because I love Obi-Wan Kenobi. He’s one of the few characters in the prequels that I genuinely like and I’ve always wanted to know more about the Jedi Master. It’s also been said that Ewan Mcgregor will indeed reprise his role as the character (well duh.)
With it starting filming in April that clearly sounds like Lucasfilm is indeed thinking of putting Star Wars in a May slot again. I have a feeling however that this film will do a lot better than Solo did because who doesn’t want to see and Obi-Wan movie? I know I do. *thumbs up*
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day. May the Force be with you.
