Star Wars: The Clone Wars is one of my favorite cartoons of all time because it was such a brilliantly made animated series. It took the prequel era to the next level by telling thirty minute short stories that helped fill in a gap that had been previously untouched. The Clone Wars was however abruptly stopped a few years ago and just recently released a bunch of new, never before seen episodes on Netflix but it was pretty inevitable that the series was done for. That’s why when it was announced that there was going to be a panel focusing on The Clone Wars at SDCC (San Diego Comic-Con) I was very confused indeed. Wasn’t the series over? So why were they having a panel celebrating it’s ten year anniversary? Well, the series is actually returning for one final season that will appear on the Disney streaming service and I couldn’t be more excited. Here’s the trailer for it.
Oh. My. GOSH! I am SO excited! I absolutely loved The Clone Wars series and to see it return for a final hurrah is making me so ridiculously happy right now. We’ll finally get to see the story that fills in that tiny void that was left hanging when The Clone Wars ended.
And seeing Ahsoka Tano is also exciting as well but it’s a tad bit confusing considering the timeline. I haven’t watched Star Wars: Rebels yet but I know she ends up facing Darth Vader in that animated series. I figured she hadn’t made a public appearance as a Jedi until the time of Rebels but it appears that she was still finding ways to be involved in the Clone Wars before the Republic fell. Whatever the case, I’m super excited to see all of these characters and I just couldn’t be happier.
I hope this made you as excited as it made me and I thank you for reading. Have a beautiful day and May the Force be with you.
