‘Avengers: Infinity War’ At Home

I haven’t seen Avengers: Infinity War in months so imagine my excitement when I bought and watched it last night in the comfort of my house. It’s always interesting watching movies for the first at home on the small screen because it’s different than watching the film in a giant, loud movie theater. The sound may not be as good or the CGI might look terrible. Or maybe the movie isn’t as good as you remembered it to be because there isn’t any IMAX to make the film decent.

Well, I can tell you that it was an amazing experience watching it at home. For months I have watched the Marvel movies such as Black PantherCaptain America: Civil WarThor: Ragnarok, and Doctor Strange with the excitement that these individual stories all leads to Infinity War. I watched Ant-Man and the Wasp several weeks ago and its constant levity helped tone down that ultra serious tone Infinity War had blanketed over the entire series. But after seeing it again last night I realized just how incredible Infinity War is.

A lot of times people use the word epic to describe something but it isn’t really that epic. The only word I can think of to describe Infinity War is EPIC! because well, the movie is epic. The action is phenomenal, the dire and serious tones are unlike anything we’ve seen in the MCU so far, and that ending. Oh my gosh, I couldn’t contain the tears. Even though it’s pretty evident that our favorite heroes will probably return for another round in Avengers 4 it doesn’t make the finger snap effect that leads to the deaths of so many cool characters no less heartbreaking and horrific.

Another thing that makes the movie will so ridiculously fantastic are the characters. We’ve seen these heroes grow and change, physically and mentally. We’ve seen them face their external and internal struggles and prevail over those harrowing obstacles. And Infinity War is simply the culmination of ten years of character development. Every character in this movie is at his or her top level of awesomeness.

Thor was at one time kind of lame but now I’d fight alongside him any day of the week (he’s that cool.)

I think I’m getting a crush on Doctor Strange, I love him that much! (Especially his cape. Wow he’s so awesome.)

Iron Man and Captain America look like Marvel veterans, and I mean that in a good way.

The Guardians of the Galaxy are the wackiest, most awesome band of misfits I’ve ever seen.

Spider-Man is ridiculously cool. End of discussion.

Black Widow is OFF THE CHAIN!

Scarlet Witch is incredible.

Even Vision gets cooler and he’s wounded through nearly the entire movie.

And when I see Black Panther and General Okoye all I can think is Wakanda Forever! Basically, you get the message. Every one in this movie is absolutely amazing.

As you can see from my excitement I enjoyed Infinity War thoroughly. It may be my favorite Marvel film past Black Panther but I’ll keep it in second place because I don’t know if it has great longevity or not. Maybe after my tenth viewing of Infinity War I’ll feel the same way about the movie as I do right now. I will say this though. This movie is absolutely incredible and I can’t imagine how good Avengers 4 is going to be.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a splendid day.

  1. Really great post, Annlyel! Since Avengers: Infinity War is the first part of a two-part story, the epic level for the film could rise when Avengers 4 is released. It’s a good thing Marvel will highly likely release the first trailer for Avengers 4 later this year, as to give fans something to look forward to until next May.

    1. Oh my goodness, I can’t wait to see the trailer for ‘Avengers 4’. It should show all of the remaining heroes that survived the Infinity snap but refrain from giving any clips that reveal any revived heroes so we can stay in suspense. And there should definitely be one jaw-dropping shot of Captain Marvel in the trailer as well. Like I said before, I can’t wait to see this movie! 🙂

      1. I think what might end up happening is the superheroes who were affected by Thanos’ snap will be shown in the Avengers 4 trailer (especially since the Spiderman sequel is being scheduled for a July 2019 release), but their revival not being revealed. But, with any Marvel production, anything is possible.
