This past Sunday I finally got the chance to see Mission: Impossible-Fallout and I was beyond excited. The critics were claiming it to be one of the greatest action movies ever made and, surprisingly, the Rotten Tomatoes score was gradually climbing over the past week. I had to see what all the praise was about. I can honestly tell you it’s true. Mission: Impossible-Fallout, in my humble opinion, is the greatest action movie that has ever hit the big screen.
Literally from beginning to end this film delivers thrills and suspenseful moments left and right while still being able to provide an understandable and compelling story. Think of all of the great action movies you’ve ever seen (Speed, Mad Max: Fury Road, Die Hard, and The Fugitive, just to name a few.) This movie is better than all of them combined!
I mean this movie has edge-of-your-seat, heart pounding, chill-inducing, giddy-laughter creating, eye-widening, I-can’t believe-this-movie-is-this-good kind of action in it.
And, after this movie, Tom Cruise has hands down become my favorite actor of all time. There are plenty of versions of astounding actors but no actor has ever gone to the lengths that Tom Cruise displayed countless times in this movie. Let me tell you this one legitimate fact. He does 100% of his stunts. I knew this before I went to watch the film but I didn’t realize the extent of that fact until I saw the things he did in this movie. And what makes it even more unbelievable is the fact that he’s 56-years-old doing this stuff. It’s AMAZING!!!
I wish Oscars could be granted to actors for sheer hard work because Tom Cruise needs an Oscar for the incredibly physical and difficult stunts he did on this movie. It was easily one of the most amazing things I have ever seen in my life.
And if you’re planning on seeing Mission: Impossible-Fallout I advise you to see it before The Meg comes out in IMAX on Thursday because while the movie will still be absolutely incredible without the IMAX it’s truly incredible in that astounding format.
My Conclusion of the Film
Mission: Impossible-Fallout undoubtedly wins the award for best blockbuster of the year so far and it’s definitely the best installment in the franchise by a mile. I’ve seen a lot of movies in my time and it’s rare to watch utterly perfect films but this one was downright incredible.
I’m giving this a 99 out of a 100 and 4.9 out of 5 stars. It’s practically an impeccable movie from start to finish but at times the plot can be a tad bit confusing and so that’s the only thing that ever so slightly takes away from this film’s grandeur.
Mission: Impossible-Fallout is a movie I won’t soon forget and I can’t wait to one day own it so I can watch its various scenes over and over and over again. It’s going to clearly take a long time before there is any action film better than this.
I thank you for reading my review and I hope you have a wonderful day.
P.S. Go watch it. It’s totally worth every penny. 🙂
