Last night Season 44 of Saturday Night Live debuted with Adam Driver hosting and Kanye West providing the music. So, of course, since my favorite Dark Side baddie was back to being silly on Saturday Night Live I wasn’t going to miss it and I’m here to share with you my overview of the episode. Enjoy!
Matt Damon Steals the Show
Before Adam Driver could even start his opening monologue Saturday Night LIve began with a bang with Matt Damon surprising everyone as he portrayed Brett Kavanaugh in a hilarious parody of Thursday’s Senate hearings. If you missed it here it is.

This past summer a star-studded all-female cast tackled one of the greatest heist series in recent memory–the Ocean’s movies–with their own take on the classic heist tale. Sandra Bullock stars as Danny Ocean’s sister, Debbie Ocean, and the rest is history.
I tried to watch this movie last night but it was so boring I couldn’t even finish it. One of the reasons why I love the Ocean’s trilogy is because of the unique cinematography and the directorial view of Steven Soderbergh. Ocean’s 8 doesn’t have that in the slightest.
The music isn’t good, the plot is horrendously boring, and like I said before, I couldn’t even finish it. The screenwriters thought they were writing a smart script but it came off as stale and dry. The characters weren’t thoughtfully written or memorable.
All in all, once again a remake starring an all-female leading cast failed to deliver. It seems so strange that most popular films starring men never seem to suffer from bad writing or stale plot points. From Ghostbusters to Ocean’s 8, however, these all-female reboots are simply embarrassing to behold. Hopefully the next Terminator movie, which is boasting three female leads, will be the first female-led film with a legitimately fantastic storyline.
I’m giving this film a 71 out of a 100 and 2 out of 5 stars. This movie is the definition of boring.
I thank you for reading my review and I hope you have a fantastic day.
The X-Men are an awesome array of unique characters with incredible abilities. It’s only until recently that I’ve begun to actually care and pay attention to the different heroes and I have to say, they’re pretty awesome. Their movies aren’t as great or easy to follow (timeline-wise) as the MCU movies but if you like superheroes there are tons of heroes to get behind in this franchise. With this many cool characters to enjoy there will always be debate of who’s the best of the X-Men. And that’s why they are the topic of this week’s segment of Who’s Your Favorite? Here are the characters.
(My X-Men knowledge is limited so I will be listing the mainstream characters that I know.)
Cyclops has always been a cool character because of his interesting eye beam ability and the same can still be said from this most recent rendition of the character. While I don’t know much about the X-Men I knew who Cyclops was in my younger age and that shows the impact this hero had on me as a child.
Mystique is easily one of the coolest concepts of a character in the superhero world. The fact that she’s this shape-shifting alien-ish sort of being is remarkable awesome and it’s what makes her so cool. She’s also a great fighter as well. All in all, Mystique is pretty cool.

This month has been jam-packed with trailers for upcoming movies that are set to come out later this year and early next year. So, since there have been so many movie trailers I’m here to rank them for you. Enjoy!
Creed is clearly going to be a good movie, there’s no doubt about that, but I judge a film by how many chills its trailer gives me and this trailer didn’t me give me the goosebumps I would’ve liked.

At first thought Star Wars is a very family-friendly franchise. There is never too much violence, zero over-the-top sexual themes, and very mild cursing. That’s part of the reason why these movies are so much fun to watch. Whether you’re 5 or 85 you can enjoy these films to the height of enjoyment and never have to worry about any suggestive content. But, while Star Wars is clearly made for the masses it does contain its memorable moments–specifically deaths–that can leave a chill down your spine. That’s what this post is about. Which ten deaths have I found to be the worst in Star Wars? Here’s my list.
10. Boba Fett
Boba Fett was easily one of the coolest characters in the original Star Wars trilogy. Unfortunately, he didn’t last very long and ended up suffering the fate of being eaten over a thousand years. That’s nightmarish.

Solo may seem like a pointless prequel that doesn’t bring a lot of meaning to the Star Wars universe but in actuality it’s possibly one of the most important movies in the franchise and this is why:
Han Solo has always been one of the most important characters in Star Wars but if you look at the original trilogy it clearly seems that the movies revolve around Luke’s story and that Han and Leia are supporting characters. But, with the release of the current trilogy films and the latest installment, Solo, it’s safe to say that Han Solo has become more important than one may have thought a few years ago. Now his storyline truly matters, as it may contain clues and revelations for some of his son’s past, present, and future actions in the Star Wars universe.
In fact, during my latest viewing of Solo I realized that the relationship between Han and Qi’Ra is loosely similar to Kylo Ren and Rey’s companionship. This is why.

The other day I wrote a post displaying my admiration for the incredible posters that came along with the latest trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Unfortunately I happened to miss one of the posters and now that I’ve seen it I am blown away. One of the other characters that is set to appear in this trailer is another female wizard. Now before I write any further here is the poster.
Is there anything about this poster that rings a bell? If not then let me tell you why this may just be the most important character poster of them all. This character’s name is obviously Nagini. Nagini, in the Harry Potter series, was basically Voldemort’s right-hand man, or woman obviously in this case. To think that this film will showcase Nagini in her earliest stages is creepily fascinating.
And, if you may recall, Nagini ends up becoming one of Voldemort’s horcruxes which Neville Longbottom killed. This is all intriguing Harry Potter knowledge and I absolutely can’t wait to see what other revelations these Fantastic Beasts movies will provide for the Harry Potter series.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day.
