Mark Hamill Is At It Again

Every once in a while Mark Hamill likes to tease fans about Star Wars and in the past couple of days he decided to mess with Star Wars fans by teasing the title of Episode IX with two cryptic tweets. Here’s the first one.

And then this is the tweet he released yesterday morning.

Lol. Mark Hamill is hilarious. I’m pretty sure Episode IX isn’t going to be titled Star Wars: The Purpose. But his first tweet saying that the title starts with THE sounds actually legitimate.

The last two movies in this current trilogy have begun with THE so why not have the last film follow that trend. And with the title starting with THE it could go so many ways. Here are some titles that could start with THE.

Star Wars: The Resistance Strikes Back.

Star Wars: The Balance of the Force.

Star Wars: The Skywalker Finale.

Star Wars: The Duel of the Fates (yeah, I know that’s one of John Williams’ score titles but it still sounds cool.)

And Star Wars: The War Continues.

Of course, all of these titles probably won’t be correct but it’s still fun theorizing what the next Star Wars will be called.

So, I wanted to share with you all Mark Hamill’s hilarious tweets. I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day.

  1. Hi Annlyel, how about, “The Fate of the Franchise…hangs in the Balance”. Or maybe “The Last Hope”, “The Rise of Rey”? I think this one might work well, “The Restoration” Hopefully Star Wars will be returned to the great films we can all enjoy and maybe just maybe the balance of the Force and peace can be “restored” Though I doubt that as my theory regards Star Wars means the conflict will always be in flux from light to dark and back ad infinitum.

    1. The Rise of Rey. I like that. But who knows what JJ Abrams is thinking?

Another possibility might be “The Unknown Regions” and who knows what, or who, might be found there.

Either that, or an escalating CONFLICT (not romance. I dont like that idea at all) between Kylo Ren and Rey. Also, wouldn’t it be cool to see Mark Hamill do 2 short appearances in the next movie as a Force-ghost?

And i wish they would tell us more about who Maz Kanata really is.

      1. Hello theOwl30, I know what you mean about JJ, maybe he’ll show us a few more light beam special effects! The “Unknown Regions” is interesting as The Chiss Ascendancy (Thrawn’s faction and species) and the SSi -Ruuk (from the book “Truce at Bakura” come from those areas. Plus Palpatine was studying and investigating the unknown regions. I think his interest was linked to the Jakku situation I mentioned to Annlyel recently. Oh and how’s this title…”The Renaissance of the Force”?

      2. Thats good, too.

And yet, much as i like to see Lightsabers turned on and some oyter-space explosions, and Ihope wedo in the next movie………as a viewer, I’mat a point now whereI’m thinking: “ya know, if this whole thing becomes just obe endlessly long series of back n forth battles…..the bad guys are “ahead”, now the good guys, now the bad guys again……then it al l becomes toooo predictible–and predictible is Boring!

Therefore, i feel now, this next movie, its a good time to break new ground, explore new territory (but pleeeease!–NO new silly characters like like Jar Jar Binks, or no pointless new characters. Example, if Finn wasnt in the next movie at all, it could still be a fantastic movie? So, why WAS here there at all? Same withCapt. Phasma. Who really gives a rip? They add almost nothing and seem like unecessary “filler” characters. Less main-players, more Relevance—and I”m MUCH more about a fascinatingkly-interesting plot and SUSPENSFUL “unfolding of the story” than i an about “character development”.

What if “new” very very old and ancient Holochrons were found? What info might be on them? Who would find it? How might it be used? WHO is Maz Kanata? WHERE dud Snoke come from? And on and on… 🙂

      3. I sense you are a fan of the Expanded Universe…maybe a Freedon Nadd holochron? Disney did brush a little bit with the EU in SOLO. If you read the Visual Dictionary it says Dryden Vos’ desk is stood on a plinth made from stone taken from Darth Revan’s tomb, so you may get to see some new interesting stuff soon!

      4. You sound like a Sith Annlyel, only the Sith deal in absolutes! I still believe there is a chance Star Wars will continue, maybe not quite in the style I grew up on but in some way.
(I’ve waited ages to be able to use that quote from Obi-Wan!)

      5. That’s the only thing that worries me about the newest actors to be cast in ‘Episode IX’. The movie is going to have enough characters and character storylines on its plate as it is; Finn and Rey, Rey and Kylo Ren, Kylo Ren and the Knights of Ren, Rose and Finn, Finn and Poe, BB-8 and Poe, Chewbacca, Finn, and Poe, Force Ghost Luke Skywalker and (maybe) Rey, Leia, you get the picture. It’s a lot!

With even more characters it’s possible the important characters’ storylines can get a bit swallowed up. It’ll be interesting to see what J.J Abrams does. *shrug*
