I was lucky enough to watch Solo in the movies back in early June and while I thought I wasn’t going to enjoy it turns out it was one of the greatest surprises of the year. But how was it going to hold up at home? I’m glad to report to you that it is just as fun to watch at home as it was in the movie theaters.

Solo is easily one of the greatest Star Wars movies ever made with its unique western style and its adventurous tone. Alden Ehrenreich nails the role of Han Solo to the point that I never once miss Harrison Ford while watching the film. The action scenes are superbly crafted and choreographed. And the inevitable bromance between Chewbacca and Han is a thing of fairy tales.
For all of its behind-the-scenes flaws and shakeups the film turned out to be a complete delight with nary a mistake woven into the story. All of the actors fit superbly into their roles. No scene feels disjointed or out of place. And the end of the film screams for a sequel that, unfortunately, will probably never happen, which is a huge bummer.
All in all, I hoped that Solo would end up being as enjoyable as it was the first time I watched it and I’m glad to say that it was. If you haven’t seen this movie and are skeptical about its chances of being fun to watch I highly advise you to check it out. It honestly is worth the watch without all of the tiresome dialogue that hindered The Last Jedi‘s popularity.
Solo is a good old-fashioned Star Wars adventure and it has definitely rekindled my love for the franchise.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a spectacular day. May the Force be with you.
