The Title and Synopsis for Jon Favreau’s Live-Action ‘Star Wars’ Show Is Here!

Earlier this year it was announced that Disney would be making a live-action Star Wars show for the Disney streaming service coming out next year with Jon Favreau set to direct and write it. Well, fellow Star Wars fans, it seems that the title and synopsis for the show is here and I’m super excited to share it with you all. Here it is.

Oh my gosh, this is SO exciting! It was rumored that the Mandalorians would be the focus of this show but to see that those rumors are true is beyond an incredible thought.

The Mandalorians had one of the most interesting storylines in The Clone Wars series. In fact, every time an episode of the animated show had something to do with the Mandalorians I was utterly riveted every time.

While we may not have gotten a standalone film featuring Boba Fett this sounds a lot cooler actually. The fact that it will focus on a lone gunslinger who, clearly, is a Mandalorian, in a ten episode live-action show is such an exciting prospect I don’t even know what to think.

There will be new villains, new characters to love, undoubtedly some exciting cameos along the way, and by the end of this show I’m pretty sure the perspective of what Star Wars can be and the stories that they can tell will expand indefinitely. The Star Wars standalone movies were the first step into a larger world and if this show ends up as good as it can be it’s going to be ABSOLUTELY MINDBLOWING!

How do you feel about this news? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day. May the Force be with you.

  1. Hi Annlyel, I too was under the impression that the Mandalorians were a fading faction. Even during TCW I got the impression that there weren’t many left so seeing what happened to them will be interesting, but alas I won’t get to see it for a long time as I can hardly afford to see the “Saga” films when they come out let alone pay to watch a streaming service. 😦
