When Disney announced it was making its own streaming service I wasn’t exactly sure how awesome that was going to be. Then it was announced that Star Wars was going to have its first live-action Star Wars series on the streaming service and my mind was utterly blown. But the exciting announcements haven’t stopped there. Recently rumors surrounding live-action series for some of the MCU’s most prominent characters (Loki, Falcon, The Winter Soldier, and Scarlet Witch) have been mentioned as well.
Disney CEO Bob Iger just announced today that there will indeed be more live-action series and they will involve Rogue One‘s Cassian Andor and Loki. How exciting is that?!
Cassian was my favorite character in Rogue One because of his compelling storyline and now that backstory that I’ve been so interested to learn is going to be told in live-action series form. Awesome!
And Loki has also become one of my favorite characters in the MCU and so even though he perished at the literal hand of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War his story will live on through this live-action series.
And the best news is that both Diego Luna and Tom Hiddleston will reprise their roles for these series. I honestly couldn’t be more excited about this streaming service. Two Star Wars live-action series, at least one Marvel live-action show, the final season of The Clone Wars, and who knows what else will be planned. Thank you, Disney. You have made my day.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a beautiful day.
Aquaman is just over a month away and that means the marketing for the film has begun to ramp up. Just recently a bunch of character posters was released for us to enjoy and of course I want to share them with you all. Here they are.
Okay, I’m trying to be positive about this movie. I really am. I loved the extended trailer. It looks like an awesome movie. But constantly I am struck with things about this film that throw up a red flag…like this poster. Is it just me or does it look awful? I honestly don’t think it was a great idea putting him in the iconic Aquaman suit because it doesn’t fit him very well. And why is his hair looking like that?
Gosh, DC Comics, why can’t you just get it right?

When A New Hope came out 41 years ago people didn’t know there was going to be a sequel. It, sure enough, didn’t seem like it. A New Hope told a solid story with unsuspecting heroes who defeated the bad guys and were given medals in an unforgettable celebration at the end of the movie that made it seem like this story was over. But oh no, the story hadn’t ended. In fact, it had just begun.
Three years later, it’s 1980, and The Empire Strikes Back is in theaters. Star Wars was a practically a perfect movie. Who would want to continue something that didn’t need to be tampered with? But George Lucas, with the help of the magnificent Lawrence Kasdan, built on A New Hope‘s momentum and told a story that was so utterly magnificent that it’s still regarded as the zenith of sequel movie making.
Everything about The Empire Strikes Back was better than the first. The planets were more awe-inspiring, the character developments were phenomenal, Darth Vader was on the next level of awesome, it displayed a compelling romance between Han and Leia that will go down as one of the greatest movie love stories of all time, the action was absolutely incredible, and it dropped a movie bombshell that no one could’ve seen coming.
