Who’s Your Favorite Justice League Character?

Another fun week has passed and for those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving, it has been quite the holiday week as well. And now it’s time for another fun segment of Who’s Your Favorite? For the last two weeks I have been asking you who your favorite Marvel hero or villain was but this week I’m changing superhero franchises and heading to DC Comics. And as you can see from this post’s title, it’s all about the Justice League. So, with no further delay, let me present to you the Justice League.

After surviving being struck by lightning Barry Allen obtained superhuman abilities that made him the fastest human being on Earth. This power would become a key aspect in serving the Justice League, as his electric abilities helped bring Superman back to life and that would ultimately be the one thing that would defeat Steppenwolf.

The man with the plan, or more like no plan to be more accurate. Arthur Curry isn’t exactly the hero type. He’s not into his legacy as King of the Sea, he doesn’t really care about his powers, if anything he just wants to be a regular man who just so happens to have the ability to help small villages with their fishing. While he wasn’t given much of a storyline to lean on in Justice League his adventurous personality was front and center, promising us an exciting future for this heroic hippy.

Victor Stone was your typical teenager but after his father conducted an experiment that went terribly wrong the “normal” young man would end up becoming known as the half-robot half-human we know as Cyborg. Cyborg’s path to heroism wasn’t sudden but his love for his father was stronger than anything and that led him to become the hero he had no idea he could be.

One of the last surviving Kryptonians, Clark Kent a.k.a Superman’s evolution into a heralded hero wasn’t easy. For decades he hid his powers away from the rest of the world, viewing them as a curse rather than a blessing, but after truly realizing the good that his abilities could bring to the rest of the world he embraced his role as the Earth’s mighty protector. Of course, there were those who wanted to see him brought back down to Earth (Lex Luthor) and he soon learned that being a hero wasn’t as fun as it seemed it would be.

He would end up perishing at the hands of the Kryptonian deformity Lex Luthor brought to life, Doomsday, but thanks to Steppenwolf’s Motherboxes he would be revived to fight another day. Superman is the main reason why the Justice League were able to defeat Steppenwolf and that is why he’s awesome.

Wonder Woman

Diana Prince grew up on the lovely island of Themyscira. She didn’t have to leave her homeland behind to fight the evil of Earth but she knew there were those unable to fight for themselves that needed her protection. So she fought. She fought for the goodness of humanity, using the power of love to defeat the god Ares and suppress his immortal hatred.

Her belief that there were still those in the world with good hearts led her to become one of Earth’s most devoted protectors and a leader of the Justice League. While much still isn’t known about her heroic adventures in Wonder Woman 1984 which is set to come out June 5, 2020, I’m sure it’s going to be a fantastic movie.

To most Bruce Wayne would seem like a simple billionaire but to those who really know him, he is the Dark Knight himself. He may not have powers as incredible as Superman’s or accident-produced abilities like Flash but he has something even greater; smarts. His brain allowed him the ability to defeat Superman himself without nary a wound as he used carbonite bullets to weaken the seemingly “invincible” Kryptonian.

His skills helped garner him the respect of Wonder Woman and he helped create the Justice League. That is one awesome superhero if you ask me.

So, as of right now, these are the members of the Justice League. And that would lead me to ask this post’s main question; Who’s Your Favorite?

For me, I would have to say Wonder Woman is my favorite member of the Justice League, but barely, with Batman at a VERY close second. While Batman is clearly cool for all of the above reasons it still is Ben Affleck’s version of the character which I’m not a huge fan of. Wonder Woman, however, is great with every appearance she makes in these films so my vote goes to her.

I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I had a blast writing it and I thank you for reading. Have a wonderful day. 🙂
