Is the New Trailer for ‘Aladdin’ Worrying or Promising?

Last night during the Grammys a special look for Aladdin was released and of course, I watched it. Before I make any more comments here’s the trailer.

Okay, so there are pros and cons to this sneak peek. Disney is the masters of making vibrantly beautiful films and this trailer highlights that abundantly. And yet, as I watched this trailer I just couldn’t get excited. The villain is not villainous enough looking to me, Naomie Scott is beautiful as Jasmine but she’s not an entirely convincing Jasmine, and Will Smith is either going to be amazing as the Genie or an absolute trainwreck. Honestly, I can’t quite get a read on this movie. I continue to say, this movie is either going to be incredible or absolutely terrible. I’m hoping for the former.

What do you think about this latest teaser? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day.

My Version of The Last Jedi: Chapter Eighteen

Maz Kanata’s Visit

Leia silently sat in her quarters, wallowing in the sorrow of the Resistance’s partial defeat. She had crafted an escape plan for the Resistance. One that should’ve been effective. But still, lives were lost, placing yet another burden of responsibility upon her shoulders.

She covered her eyes with her left hand, sighing deeply. She still hadn’t fully recovered from Han’s death. Now, this? It was all too much. She had known the pain of sorrow for nearly as long as she had been alive. She had fought the Empire, thus having to deal with the grief that came with such a difficult role in the galaxy. Then there was a glimmer of peace as the New Republic began to establish itself and the last remnants of the Empire began to fade. And then the First Order arrived, thrusting Leia back into the fray. Only this time she was a general.

She loved the idea of leading her followers to victory against an evil foe but the repercussions of war was death and she was tired of feeling its aftereffects.

She rubbed her wet eyes, struggling to keep herself from crying. And then suddenly there was a knock. She looked towards the door.

“Who is it?” she called.

“Lieutenant Connix, ma’am. We have a situation.”

The Latest Episode of ‘Star Wars: Resistance’ Is Off the Chain!

Nearly every week I write an unenthusiastic review of the latest episode from the newest animated Star Wars series; Star Wars: Resistance, highlighting the few triumphs to the episode or its blaring annoyances. This week’s episode, however, was so good I’ve got to talk about it. Mind you, this will still be a spoiler-free review but there were elements to the episode that I cannot stay silent about and so, on that note, let me get to this review.

First off, here’s the episode’s synopsis: When Kel and Eila seek out Kaz’s help after knocking out a stormtrooper, Kaz dons the trooper’s armor to protect the kids and spy on the First Order.

Yes, Kazuda Xiono goes undercover as a stormtrooper in this latest episode; The New Trooper. I was absolutely riveted.

It brought me such nostalgia to the first time I watched A New Hope. You see, A New Hope is the only film that saw its main characters dressed as stormtroopers to complete a mission. To see Kaz as a stormtrooper trying to fulfill a mission of his own was so much fun to watch and I found myself beaming with joy the entire time I watched the episode.

And it looks like I’m not the only one who enjoyed this episode. It’s the highest rated episode so far with 8.5 on Imdb. Yeah. 8.5!

I’m giving this episode 100 out of 100 and 5 out of 5 stars. It’s taken a while for this show to wake up but now that it has I am anxiously waiting for next week’s episode.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a beautiful day. May the Force be with you.
