My Thoughts on ‘Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’

The Star Wars Celebration is taking place Live at the moment and a couple of hours ago they dropped a trailer and information on the new Star Wars game which will be released this November called Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. I was excited. As someone who’s played Star Wars: The Force Unleashed more times than I can count I’ll have you know Star Wars games can be very fun. They can also be very terrible too though.

Both Battlefront games I have not bought because Game Informer continued to give the games mediocre scores because they were kind of boring. Now EA’s trying to redeem themselves with a new game to play and after seeing the trailer I probably won’t be playing this game either. Here’s the official trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Okay, I love the trailers for Star Wars games. They are always ridiculously epic in some capacity. I mean, have you seen the trailers for The Old Republic games? If you haven’t just go check them out. They’re like miniature movies, they’re that good.

Is ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ a Great Title or a Disappointing One?

When the teaser for the movie ended and we got to see the title for Episode IX for the first time it was unlike anything I could’ve expected. The Rise of Skywalker would end up being the finished title and while I was still reeling by the teaser’s jaw-dropping conclusion the title began to slowly but surely soak in.

So, that leads me to the question of this post; is The Rise of Skywalker a good title?

Well, it has meaning, but it’s a plural title highlighting the clear fact that this title could be talking about anything. I like that element. What I don’t like is how uneasy to say it is.

For a while, I was calling it Rise of the Skywalker. Then I kept saying Rise of Skywalker. And now, I still find it a little tongue-twisting to say The Rise of Skywalker. To me, it just doesn’t sound well.

I like names that flow off the tongue. Like The Force AwakensThe Empire Strikes BackThe Phantom Menace, those are names that are just as ambiguous in meaning but sound fun to say out loud as well.

So, while the teaser was clearly better than the title (WAY BETTER) I’m sure it will be a powerful title once we know the meaning behind it.

What are your thoughts on the title? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have an amazing day. May the Force be with you.

Rey’s Evolution Through Her Clothing

Clothes. They can tell the story of a Star Wars character as soon as we see them. Bounty hunters have a patented look, Jedi all look somewhat similar, the agents of the Dark Side always wear black and always manage to look extraordinarily menacing, and those of royalty or wealth have their own style as well.

After a recent viewing of The Last Jedi, I realized that Rey’s wardrobe has changed accordingly to her story in these movies and clearly I had to share this discovery with you all. So, on this day after the teaser for The Rise of Skywalker, I’m here to share her evolution. Enjoy!

The Force Awakens

Rey's Quarterstaff

As you can see in this picture above Rey is sporting the now-iconic Scavenger wear; a simple beige tank top with light brown pants, the brown boots, and the sandy wraps that give the outfit its unique look.

In The Force Awakens Rey is very much considered a simple character, that is until halfway through the movie when we begin to see that she is more than just a scavenger but actually has great power with the Force. It isn’t until the end of the movie that she assumes the role as the galaxy’s potential next hope, thus changing her clothing to what she wears primarily in The Last Jedi.

A Six-Year Poster Evolution: Rocket

Sorry everyone for missing my post for this series yesterday. With the teaser for The Rise of Skywalker dropping my brain was totally occupied with everything Star Wars, so I completely forgot to drop the next set of posters. But, I’m back to the nitty-gritty so today Rocket is featured. Fun!

Rocket is totally one of the coolest characters in the MCU. First off, he’s a raccoon and yet somehow watching him run around with a giant gun in his tiny hands and talking cold smack about everybody doesn’t seem weird. In fact, it’s perfect. I liked Rocket as soon as he showed up in Guardians of the Galaxy and now, five years later, I can’t wait to see this next chapter of his story. So let’s get to his posters.

With his ferocious expression and giant gun in hand, it’s pretty clear that Rocket isn’t one to trifle with.
