My Spoiler-Free Review of ‘Avengers: Endgame’

Avengers: Endgame marks the end of the Infinity Saga; a fantastic storyline that has been built over twenty-one movies and eleven years. It’s an amazing thought. When Iron Man came out in 2008 I wasn’t even ten-years-old yet. Now I’m twenty writing this review and it’s just…wow.

Yesterday, as I left the theater struggling to contain my composure, it didn’t really dawn on me that this was the end of an era. Yes there will be more movies in the MCU and yes the story isn’t over but in a way, it is. To delve into further meaning about this saga’s ending would mean I would have to include spoilers but because this is, in fact, a spoiler-free review I’ll just keep things very basic.

‘Avengers: Endgame’ Has Snapped My Chances of Seeing It Again This Weekend

Avengers: Endgame just may be the biggest cinematic event of all time and the theater showtimes are the proof of that fact. Yesterday I watched Avengers: Endgame. Soon after watching the film I wanted to see it again. I rushed online to see when I could see the showtimes for multiple formats and to my stunned surprise every showtime was nearly packed full. And, as someone who refuses to sit at the screen (I sat at the screen for Avengers: Age of Ultron and Rogue One and I wasn’t a fan) I was pretty much out of luck. Yeah, the whole weekend is booked across all movie theaters in my area.

I can’t believe it. I’ve seen movies that have showtimes that are sold out but this is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. From IMAX to Digital every theater is filled to the rafters with eager viewers who want to see the conclusion to this incredible story that Marvel has created since 2008.

So yes, Thanos’s work has been done. He singlehandedly snapped my chance to watch Avengers: Endgame again this weekend. Everyone wants to see what’s going to happen next. I’m just glad I was able to get tickets for the film yesterday.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day.

Auditoriums. They were designed to enhance a situation, good or bad. They were sometimes used for entertainment. And they were also used by governments to conduct vast meetings that otherwise would be difficult to hold.

Captain Phasma stood on a grand pedestal that stood in the very center of the auditorium reaching upward of a hundred feet. There were no railings to bar a person from toppling to a rather painful death before the eyes of thousands but that’s what made standing on the pedestal all the more exhilarating. The factor of danger made Phasma’s pulse race and her heart pound in her breast.

She suddenly began to have flashbacks of her times on Parnassos; struggling to survive on that inhospitable wasteland of a planet, fighting for her life in an arena among people she once called her friends. They were probably dead by now or worse, were enslaved by some criminal syndicate. She had been smarter. She had survived, using her friendship with General Brendol Hux to rise through the ranks to the position she had now. But now, she wanted more, and as she stared at the droves of leaders from other worlds surrounding her, she knew she had what it took to lead them all.
