Celebrating Captain Marvel

While my sister and I aren’t the biggest fans of Captain Marvel as Marvel movies go we are serious fans of the character, especially after the superhero’s awesome inclusion in Avengers: Endgame. So, inspired by her new look in Endgame, my sister wanted to draw a picture to celebrate the incredible heroine. Take a look.

Um, wow, right? I’ve always been fascinated by my sister’s drawings of her favorite Star Wars and Marvel characters but this is definitely one of the best I’ve seen from her. Especially depicting Captain Marvel in all of her awesome glory.

We love Captain Marvel! 🙂

I thank you for reading (and looking at this beautiful art) and I hope you have an amazing day.

Wow, Iron Man Is Dead

Iron Man, the superhero that started this incredible journey, has finally found his demise after eleven years. Yes, I said it. He’s dead. I always knew this day was coming. I mean, Tony Stark has escaped death by a thread since his very first movie. In fact, that’s how he became Iron Man. By barely surviving being captured by terrorists and having something put in his chest, the reactor, he created the first prototype of the Iron Man suit. That was his beginning as the superhero that we all know and love.

For years, his demise has been imminent and yet when it finally happened in Endgame I couldn’t stop the flow of tears both times I watched the movie. Iron Man has been a part of my life for over half of my lifetime. As a child, I would stare at the screen in awe as Iron Man flew across the screen defeating bad guys and saving the day. Now, as an adult, watching him make the ultimate sacrifice to save the galaxy is just…a beautiful conclusion to his story. And yet, it dawned on me of the morning I went to watch Avengers: Endgame that this was truly his last hurrah. That he was officially gone. It’s an amazing realization because this doesn’t happen often. Superheroes don’t die. Think about it.

The New Trailer for ‘Spider-Man: Far from Home’ Reminds Me Why I Love Marvel

Avengers: Endgame has been out for the last two weeks. Because the film is such a gigantic spoiler in itself there has been a campaign for the last three weeks now called #DontSpoiltheEndgame. Well, that campaign ended today and low and behold Marvel dropped the newest trailer for Spider-Man: Far from Home. Let me tell you, I didn’t realize this trailer was going to be this awesome but it was so good my family and I rewatched it like five times in a row. That rarely happens.

Endgame was the end of the Infinity Saga but it turns out it may have been the beginning of something much more incredible. Here’s the trailer.

Spoilers ahead.

The Chosen One: Chapter Twenty-One

The Test

Supreme Leader Phasma stood overlooking the army of stormtroopers that she now commanded as they trained for the many battles ahead. Her newest general, a short brown-skinned woman with chiseled features, buzz-cut brown hair, and a terrible scar forking across her face, distorting her expression into an eternal snarl, stood by her side with her hands clasped behind her back. She was clad in a sharp black leather suit, making her even more intimidating. Her name was Slash.

“You should be proud,” General Slash said. “The army that you have helped create is an impressive work of art.”

Phasma smiled beneath her perfectly polished chrome helmet. And then she heard a familiar pair of armored feet approaching. She didn’t even have to turn to know who it was.
