My Three Favorite Movie Credit Songs

There are those certain movies that you come across that are already pretty good but then you hear that original song made specifically for the film and it knocks you off your feet. There aren’t a lot of movie songs that I’m particularly fond of but there are three songs that I love so much I have them on my Spotify. So, on that note, here are my three favorite movie songs of all time (so far.)

3. “I See Fire” by Ed Sheeran

Oh my goodness, let me talk a little about this song. I’m not into pop music or pop stars, so I had no idea about Ed Sheeran. This was my introduction and I was blown away.

To this day, The Desolation of Smaug is still one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in the movie theaters. That film, in the incredible format of IMAX, was. In. CREDIBLE! I went to see The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and while it wasn’t the worst movie I’ve ever seen I wasn’t overly thrilled. When I went to see The Desolation of Smaug I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it was but boy was it amazing.

To walk out of that theater with “I See Fire” blaring in my ears was the icing on the cake. It’s definitely one of the best movie songs I’ve ever heard and now I can understand why so many people are Ed Sheeran fans. He can sing!

2. “All the Stars” by Kendrick Lamar featuring Sza

Black Panther was amazing. Isn’t it fitting that the film’s song would be amazing too? Yeah. And it was. Once again, before this song, I wasn’t a Kendrick Lamar fan, but now I TOTALLY understand why so many people love his work. He’s a great songwriter and this song proves why Marvel hired him for the job. He brought Black Panther to life in a way that bled over into our world and I love that.

1. “We Don’t Need Another Hero” by Tina Turner

This is hands down my favorite movie song of all time. The legend, Tina Turner, brought her instantly recognizable voice to a song that not only fits the movie perfectly but is just absolutely wonderful to listen to. Plus, I like the video. 🙂

So yeah, these are my three favorite movie songs. Do you have any movie songs you love listening to? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day.
