How Women Have Evolved in Marvel: Part 3

For the past two days, I have shared with you all the evolution of Marvel’s heroines in the last eleven years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Last time I wrote this piece I only had to write two parts but now, with Avengers: Endgame and Captain Marvel showing women in even more inspiring ways, I had to extend this series to a three-part ordeal. So, on that note, here is the current evolution of these outstanding heroines.

2018

2018 was a GREAT year in the way women were presented in the Marvel films, starting with Black Panther. We got to see a beautiful, benevolent, strong queen of Wakanda in Queen Mother Ramonda who is just as capable of fighting as the powerful female warriors around her.

These Photos for ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ Will Blow. Your. Mind!

Okay, okay, okay! This is amazing! I’m running a little late today in terms of writing a post and so I had no idea about Vanity Fair dropping a fantastic article chock full of tantalizing photos for the highly-anticipated Star Wars finale, The Rise of Skywalker. However, now that I’ve seen these pictures, I’m literally jittery with excitement as I write this. Check them out.

Here we see a look at the native inhabitants of the brand new planet, Pasaana (so it’s not Jakku after all) which is exciting in itself. These clothes, these outfits, it’s beautiful. I have a feeling this film is going to be visually captivating.

In this picture, we get a glimpse at what is clearly an action scene as Rey, Chewbacca, and BB-8 ride a cool looking speeder.
