I remember when there was a time I could’ve only dreamed of a new Star Wars movie. Then Disney bought the galactic franchise and my dream came true. Last year was the first year in recent years where we got a Star Wars movie in May, which was a bummer, considering that the end of the year was devoid of Star Wars happiness. But, because we’ve had a brief hiatus from the franchise, it seems that LucasFilm has gone on turbo for Star Wars fans.
This fall is going to be packed with enticing Star Wars entertainment, from novels and comic books to games and episodic series, and finally The Rise of Skywalker at the end of it all. I’m so freaking excited!
So, to celebrate the wondrous end of the year, I’m going to share with you all of the stuff I’m most excited for. Enjoy!
A Marvel mini-series focusing on some of the greatest characters and villains in the Star Wars trilogy will arrive. The characters the series are highlighting will be Rey, Finn, Poe, Rose, Kylo Ren, and Snoke. While each series seems interesting the ones I’m most looking forward to are the ones focusing on Kylo Ren and Snoke.
Here is its synopsis: Anakin Skywalker casts a long shadow. Can Kylo Ren ever escape his infamous grandfather’s reputation? Or will he succeed where Darth Vader failed?
This series will focus on the young Solo in his years before The Force Awakens which I am SO excited about. I’ve always wanted to know about him in his younger years and finally, we’ll get to discover a piece of that relatively unknown past. Yes!
And the Snoke series seems even more interesting. This is its synopsis.
Supreme Leader Snoke’s brutal training of Kylo Ren begins. Will the sadistic Snoke break his tormented protégé? Or has he underestimated the son of Han and Leia?
Um…I so want to read this. Snoke is hands down the most mysterious character created for the sequel trilogy because not much has been elaborated on his past or his reasoning behind becoming the Supreme Leader of the First Order. This helps fill in some of those gaps and I can’t wait to read it!
At the end of Season 1 of Star Wars Resistance, a lot of things happened. Tam Ryvora, after feeling betrayed by Yeager when he didn’t let her in on Kaz being a Resistance spy, decided to take matters into her own hands, choosing to join the First Order. And as is obvious from this poster for Season 2 of Star Wars Resistance she has embraced her role on the side with the bad guys and it seems that she’s got an ally from the Colossus with her. The character Jace Rucklin (voiced by Elijah Wood) has obviously joined the First Order’s ranks.
Oh man, I can’t wait to see what Star Wars Resistance has in store for us.
Ever since I was a child The Clone Wars has been one of my favorite cartoons of all time. For a while I hadn’t seen the full series but, after binge-watching on all six seasons on Netflix, now I’m fully caught up. I’m very excited to see this final season of The Clone Wars. I know for a fact it’s going to be amazing.
Omg. The Mandalorian is going to be off the chain. From the leaked footage released during the Star Wars Celebration to the brand new characters played by an amazing cast, The Mandalorian is going to be Star Wars fans’ next obsession.
I have always wanted to see a live-action Star Wars series and to finally get one, whoa, I’m so ready.
Among the Star Wars novels set to come out this year is this one here, Resistance Reborn, which will focus on Poe, Rey, Finn, and General Organa as they rebuild the Resistance after the events of The Last Jedi. This book is going to be so much fun to read. In fact, I’m probably going to finish it in one day. That’s how excited I am to read it.
Are you ready to play the best Star Wars game since Star Wars: The Force Unleashed? I know I am. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order seemed kind of wack at first but after seeing the gameplay I couldn’t be more pumped. This is going to keep me very occupied. 😁👍
And then, of course, the second major event of the year arrives; The Rise of Skywalker. This saga finale will hopefully answer some long-awaited questions and will have to bring an “end” to a story that started four decades ago. Oh my goodness, I’m SO FREAKING EXCITED!
And don’t forget The Art of The Rise of Skywalker, which will be released on the same day as The Rise of Skywalker. December is going to be an amazing month.
So, yes, the end of the year is going to be one of the best Star Wars experiences I’ve ever had and I can’t wait to share that glorious time with you. Until then, I’m counting down the days until Spider-Man: Far from Home and then Comic-Con, which Kevin Feige has announced, will have a major Marvel presence. 2019 is going to be the best Marvel and Star Wars year ever!
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a magnificent day. May the Force be with you.
