Love This!

My sister and I weren’t sure if we were going to like Captain Marvel. Yeah, she was the first female Marvel superhero to get her own film. Yeah, she was clearly going to be the most powerful Avenger. And yeah, her character seemed pretty awesome but we were still skeptical.

We came away from Captain Marvel liking Carol Danvers but we weren’t entirely convinced. That changed after Endgame. Seeing her interact with our favorites heroes and Thanos, loving her new hairdo and outfit, we were changed. Suddenly, Captain Marvel lived up to the hype and honestly, we couldn’t be happier.

My sister, as an artist, LOVES drawing Captain Marvel. Whether it be a manga revision of the character or simply giving Captain Marvel a new look, Captain Marvel has become one of my sister’s favorite things to draw. And now she’s drawn yet another masterpiece. Check it out.

Carefree Captain Marvel

You have no idea how much I love this picture! Brie Larson’s smile is caught with such perfection, the hair looks amazing, the colors of the suit is amplified with just enough gusto to make this piece truly stand out. I’ve shared a lot of beautiful pieces that my sister has drawn but this, hands down, is one of my personal favorites.

Captain Marvel rules!

I thank you for reading and I hope you have an amazing day.

The Next Fan Fiction Adventure Awaits

Captain America: Secret War has come to an end and I hope you enjoyed. Pertaining to the Post-Story Chapter it is indeed a hint at my next Marvel fan fiction adventure which will, of course, focus on the Guardians of the Galaxy. Its story will be set a year after the events of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 but don’t get too excited too soon, for this story won’t arrive until early next year.

Do not fret though, for a new story arrives this mid-August, and it is about Qi’ra.

For those of you have seen Solo: A Star Wars Story (SPOILERS AHEAD) I’m sure many of you wondered, after seeing Qi’ra fly away aboard Dryden Vos’s yacht, First Light, to Dathomir for her audience with Darth Maul, where this twist would take her story. I, for one, have always been fascinated by this turn in her story and as, someone who loves to write fan fiction, I took it upon myself to see what happens next.

Be sure to keep an eye out for the posters for this new story, Qi’ra, which will gradually come to you in a coming couple of weeks.

I can’t wait to delve deeper into the mind of one of the most complex characters in the Star Wars franchise and I can’t wait for you to follow this new journey.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a spectacular day. May the Force be with you.

Are the Ant-Man and Spider-Man Franchises In Trouble?

A couple of weeks ago during the Marvel panel at San Diego Comic-Con, there were plenty of announcements to get excited about for the upcoming Phase 4 and Phase 5 of the MCU. We learned more about Black WidowShang-Chi and the Ten Rings, and Eternals, we learned that sequels in the work, and we discovered that the Fantastic Four, the Mutants, and Blade would be making their debut in the MCU in several years. It was a lot to take in. So much in fact that we almost forgot about two sequels that weren’t announced for a couple of franchises that have become very dear to my heart. That, of course, is the announcement of more Ant-Man and Spider-Man movies.

Every hero to have a film in the MCU has had a sequel that comes out two-three years after their previous film. All of course except for Doctor Strange whose sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, is coming out five! years after his debut film in 2016, Doctor Strange. But we didn’t mind because he played such a prominent role in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame and even had a little nod-and-a-wink role in Thor: Ragnarok.

Ant-Man and Spider-Man, however, may not be so lucky.

While it was rumored that Spider-Man would get a sequel announcement at San Diego Comic-Con that didn’t end up happening and nothing was even spoken about an Ant-Man sequel. Once I realized this I have to admit, I was bummed. Continue reading Are the Ant-Man and Spider-Man Franchises In Trouble?

Captain America: Secret War (THIRTY-NINE)

Steve Rogers and Sharon Carter were standing in the parlor of the Carter Estate, the moonlight from the clear night sky pouring through the beautiful white paned window. It had been several days since their final confrontation with Sarkras the Mindful and life was back to normal. Continue reading Captain America: Secret War (THIRTY-NINE)

Have You Seen ‘Fist Fight’?

Every year there are maybe two or three absurd comedies that come out in a year and with every one of these movies I find myself saying, “I definitely don’t want to watch that.” Two years ago, Fist Fight was one of those films.

I remember seeing the commercials and thinking to myself, “That looks dumb.”

Fast forward to now and my father, after checking it out, says I have to see it. I’m like, “Nooo!!!” (I really didn’t want to see it.) But he insists that I’ll enjoy it. So, grudgingly, I watch it and turns out, he was right. This movie was the funniest comedy I had seen in years.

The premise is very simple. One teacher (Charlie Day) gets another teacher (Ice Cube) fired and the fired teacher wants a fist fight. It’s that simple premise that turns into an outrageous, absolutely hilarious hour-and-thirty-minute movie that had me laughing nonstop.

With lots of rude and legitimately stupid humor, this movie could easily drag on a person’s nerves but I’m happy to say it didn’t drag on mine. Every actor played the perfect part, Ice Cube channeled his inner Johnny from The Shining at times, and by the end, I was beaming with joy.

I won’t tell you what happens but the fight is totally worth it.

I’m giving this movie 95 out of 100 and 4.5 out of 5 stars. You might see this score and think, “Really?” Yes, really. If you like outrageous and non-sensical mixed with tidbits of intelligence Fist Fight is the comedy for you.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a special day.
