More Marvel News Has Arrived from D23 Expo

And just when you probably thought there wouldn’t be any more exciting news from D23 Expo this morning happened.

During another panel this morning highlighting more Marvel surprises we learned some rather exciting new information.

Ryan Coogler announced that Black Panther II will be slated for release on May 6, 2022. Yes! Oh, but that’s not all.

Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington and Crazy Rich Asians actress Gemma Chan have been added to the star-studded cast with Harington starring as the superhero Black Knight and Gemma Chan returning for her second role in the MCU (yes, the second role!) as Sersi.

If you’re wondering who Gemma Chan played before in the MCU this picture will instantly remind you.

She played Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel but I think Marvel Studios realized she was too cool to play such a small role in the franchise so what did they do? They upgraded her to play Sersi, one of the most beloved and well-known members of the Eternals. Um, woah.

But that’s still not all! Continue reading More Marvel News Has Arrived from D23 Expo

‘The Mandalorian’ Trailer Promises a Gritty Experience

The Mandalorian is getting more and more awesome looking by the second. With the trailer dropping last night we were given our first opportunity to see the live-action Star Wars series in motion and boy, was it way better than I expected.

I have always wanted to see the story of a bounty hunter brought to life in a live-action setting and while this won’t be viewable on the big screen it’s destined to entertain in so many ways.

As a Star Wars fan, it’s always nice to see new planets and strange worlds that we’ll get the chance to explore and like Rogue One it seems The Mandalorian is going to deliver worlds just as fascinating. Continue reading ‘The Mandalorian’ Trailer Promises a Gritty Experience

‘The Rise of Skywalker’ Finally Has a Teaser Poster!!!!

As I expected The Rise of Skywalker just had a massive presence at D23 Expo and I can’t believe the info I’ve just read about the film. Before I get to that here’s the official teaser poster.

Yes, the teaser poster is just as perfect as I’d imagine but get this, a bit of the cast shared a few more tidbits about the characters they’ll be playing.

Keri Russel announced that her character Zorri Bliss is an old friend of Poe Dameron’s. John Boyega promises that the film will be “epic.” J.J Abrams assures people that Leia will have a powerful presence in this movie and is “the heart of this story.”

And then, just when I thought things couldn’t get any better; a bit of new footage was released for the film. Read this.

The group overlooks a small village. An army of ships in spaces. Rey cuts through trees. Kylo emerges from a ship. Rey and Kylo fight surrounded by water. Palpatine narrates — it nears its end” Rey is wearing a black robe — her red lightsaber splits in two, dual wielding like Darth Maul.

O. M. G!!!!!! This is freaking….I don’t know…this is exactly everything that I wanted and yet believed we would never get. Rey is going to turn evil. I can’t freaking believe it! This footage was only released for those at the conference but thankfully people were kind of enough to share it with us.

I can’t believe it! I can’t wait to see this in the official second trailer which will probably arrive this October. For now, I’m just going to figuratively scream in a corner somewhere.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a tremendous day. May the Force be with us all.
