‘The Rise of Skywalker’ May Introduce Palpatine At His Most Powerful

While going through old posts I have written I ran into this post I wrote before The Rise of Skywalker came out. And seeing it, I had to share it again because it’s actually hilarious. So, on that note, check this out.

The Rise of Skywalker trailer was packed with dazzling imagery and riveting voiceovers that imbued the trailer with emotion and chill-inducing happiness. But, beyond the very obvious things, we may observe in the trailer, I have discovered a very subtle yet potentially very important detail in this trailer.

Throughout certain sections of the trailer, we see lightning pervading the clips,

whether we’re talking about the clip that depicts the throne room,

theimperialstardestroyer.pngor the shot of the Imperial Star Destroyer rising from the icy depths.

Or even this shot of Resistance heroes charging into battle which is illumined with lightning,

and this shot depicts Kylo Ren by some strange contraption as bright light flickers, whether this is lightning or not, I can’t exactly tell.

In this shot showing Rey facing what has to be Palpatine we see a flash of light in the upper left corner which has to be lightning,

and even at this shot here with Rey smiling, lightning flashes.

Well, one thing is for certain, all of these clips here are connected in the same sequence, but there’s something even more powerful at work here.

Palpatine has been known to control lightning. What if, with his return from the “dead”, his powers have grown? Hence, all of that lightning.

If Yoda could do this, just imagine what Palatine can do. We very well may see Palpatine at his most powerful in this film. The thought is definitely exhilarating.

(Looking back on this post I can’t believe how right and wrong I was. The lightning on Exegol wasn’t a product of Palpatine’s power but rather just a way to make the planet creepy. And then, Abrams did make Palpatine at his most powerful by turning him into an ultra-lightning machine. RIDICULOUS! Lol.)

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a marvelous day. May the Force be with you.
