Valkyrie: The Kings of Asgard?: Chapter One

“So when can we expect you back?” Valkyrie asked Thor as she stood on a cliff overlooking New Asgard.

The day was beautiful.

Thanos was gone. Friends and loved ones, pet owners and their pets were being reunited. The Avengers was a much larger group of heroic individuals than they once were. And the Asgardians were able to enjoy a semblance of safety.

As Valkyrie gazed at the pristine blue sky she felt a true sense of peace for the first time in thousands of years. Continue reading Valkyrie: The Kings of Asgard?: Chapter One

Could Jannah and Her Fellow Stormtroopers Have the Force?

A few years ago we were introduced to a character unlike any other in the Star Wars movies, a stormtrooper who became a rebel. Not only was he different than most characters in the franchise but he would wield a lightsaber into battle and have some serious Force-sensitive tendencies.

Since 2016 after having watched The Force Awakens quite a few times I began to wonder, is Finn Force-sensitive? Sure enough, it was confirmed to be the case in The Rise of Skywalker. Now I’m beginning to ask another question; are Jannah and her fellow rebellious stormtroopers also one with the Force? Continue reading Could Jannah and Her Fellow Stormtroopers Have the Force?

‘The King’s Speech’ Is a Beautiful Tale of Friendship and Perseverance

One of my goals is to eventually watch every Best Picture winning film and my list is gradually growing. I have now added another film to my enlargening wealth of movie knowledge and I have to say, I really enjoyed this movie. Yeah, the colors can be a bit droll and the lack of music, or excitement a.k.a action can cause one to get rather drowsy while watching the film but honestly, I was blown away by the biopic.

Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush, and Helena Bonham Carter, and everyone else involved, did absolute phenomenal jobs bringing this true story to life; a story that tells the extraordinary tale of the stammering Duke of York and his challenge to abate his speech impediment as he faces the arisal of becoming the King of England during one of the scariest times of our world’s history, World War II.

I was sucked into this film’s story until, by the film’s predictable but beautiful conclusion, I was in near tears with sheer happiness. This is a movie worth watching and definitely one of my favorite biopics. Now, should it have beaten Inception? Well, considering that it’s taken me several viewings of the epically strange, thoughtfully provocative, and riveting Christopher Nolan film to finally get what the heck is going on I guess it does deserve the win.

I’m giving this film a solid 98 out of 100 and 4.5 out of 5 stars. It’s nearly a perfect movie but like I said before, it can be a bit slow, and because of that it’s not an entirely impeccable film.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day.
