This is an unprecedented summer that has left movie lovers, like me, a little bummed. With so many blockbusters to look forward to this year, it almost seems cruel that we didn’t get to see any of them. That didn’t stop me and my sister from revisiting the trailers for this year’s most-anticipated blockbusters and yes, they were just as fascinating as I remembered. So, with no further delay, here’s a look at those trailers.
Black Widow is a movie we’ve been waiting for for years and now we’ll finally get to see this story unfold…the right way. The other two trailers for the film had me vaguely interested but it was this trailer that peaked my enthusiasm.
Black Widow has been awesome since her Avenger days in 2012 when she took on an army of Chitauri despite being a simple assassin/secret agent. Now, we get to see her in the spotlight; a woman with zero superpowers but some serious fighting skills. It’s going to be fun and I am ready for every second of this delightful action movie.
I don’t know why this movie trailer brings a tear to my eye every time I watch it. Actually, I think it’s the magical combination of the story the trailer is trying to tell along with the music of “Reflection.” It’s so beautiful and, considering that Mulan is one of my favorite Disney movies, it’s just…it hits my heart.
Yo! Okay, what has happened in the last few months since the last time I saw this trailer. I watched it back in December and I wasn’t a fan. Fast forward to July 17 (that was yesterday) and I was blown away by how awesome this trailer was and is. Yeah, it seems that Steve Trevor is going to play heavily into this story like last time but at least this time around we’ll get to see Wonder Woman being the awesome bad*** that she is.
I mean, she’s swinging from lightning bolts! Um…okay. Take my money. Plus, Hans Zimmer, the Oscar-winning genius behind such great superhero film scores as The Dark Knight Trilogy, Man of Steel, and even X-Men: Dark Phoenix, will be composing the score for this film. Once again, take. My. MONEY!!!
Here are the current release dates for these films…unless they are delayed again.
Mulan drops on August 21. Wonder Woman 1984 drops October 2. And Black Widow, November 6.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day.
