Nia Dacosta Will Direct ‘Captain Marvel 2’

Well, it seems that Captain Marvel 2, which will arrive in 2022, has found its director. Nia Dacosta, who made a name for herself after her indie-film, Little Woods, caught the eye of Hollywood, has been signed on to become the first black woman to direct a movie in the MCU.

I was already excited for Captain Marvel 2 but now I’m even more excited. It should be very intriguing to see how she sheds a brand new light on the title character and what nuances she can bring to the table for this sequel. Captain Marvel was a fun superhero movie but ultimately, it was forgettable. That’s partly because Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck didn’t direct the movie very well, providing little to zero tantalizing shots worth remembering.

For this superhero to get fully accepted by the overall fandom her sequel needs to be like Captain America: The Winter Soldier…epic! I hope Dacosta can deliver a powerful vision worthy of the likes of Captain Marvel.

Are you excited to see Nia Dacosta direct Captain Marvel? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day.

Captain America: Secret War (TWO)

It’s a beautiful early morning in Washington D.C with the sun gleaming golden on the nation’s capital but for Secretary Ross, there might as well have been a thunderstorm.

“So, let me get this straight. You’re telling me that Steve Rogers, Sharon Carter, and Sam Wilson were in New York City at the same time and you still couldn’t catch them?!” Continue reading Captain America: Secret War (TWO)

A Movie Ranking: Chris Pine

Surprisingly, I’ve seen Chris Pine in more movies than I’ve wished over the years but…whatever. I thought it’d be fun to pick him for this week’s segment of this series. Enjoy!

Secondly, I’d like to thank 18CinemaLane (check out her site here) for nominating me for this award.

Why did I start my blog? Well, for years I wanted to share my thoughts on movies with the world but it wasn’t until December 15, 2016, the very day before Rogue One would enter theaters, that my blog was brought to life. The first post I ever wrote was a post sharing the three reasons why I was so excited to see Rogue One. I was so excited and thankfully the Star Wars movie would be just as good as I hoped it would be. Continue reading I Have Been Nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award for the Second Time
