Surprisingly, I’ve seen Chris Pine in more movies than I’ve wished over the years but…whatever. I thought it’d be fun to pick him for this week’s segment of this series. Enjoy!
I tried to watch this movie a few weeks ago but it was so boring I fell asleep. True story.
6. Star Trek
I’m not a Star Trek fan and this movie reminded me why. Now, granted, I didn’t get to see the film all the way through but I saw enough to know that I wasn’t a fan.
5. Star Trek: Beyond
Boring, boring, boring! Really, really boring. (Does J.J Abrams ruin everything?)
4. A Wrinkle in Time
I watched this movie expecting it to be one of Disney’s worst live-action films. Instead, I observed a movie with a concise story that empowered its black girl lead. No, it wasn’t the best film I had ever seen but it was visually arresting and I did enjoy it, to a certain degree.
3. Star Trek Into Darkness
My father took me to see this movie back in 2013. My sister and I were expecting something phenomenal. Instead, we saw a film that was not only ultimately disappointing but basically a carbon copy of The Wrath of Khan which our father showed us when we got home. I was shocked and ultimately peeved, choosing to not watch it since.
I did like Cumberbatch in this movie (it was my first time seeing him) but he alone couldn’t save this film.
2. Wonder Woman
I’m not a fan of this movie but, compared to these other films, it seems like an Oscar-winning flick. It’s also Chris Pine’s most memorable role as Steve Trevor who he portrays perfectly despite my personal annoyance with his heavy involvement in Diana’s storyline.
1. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
And of course, this is my favorite film of his as he voices Peter Parker a.k.a Spider-Man in the first section of the movie. I love this film so much!
Well, there’s my ranking. What’s your favorite Chris Pine movie? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a splendid day.
