The DC Fandome will be taking place in twelve days and the free online virtual event will feature sneak peeks at all of the upcoming DC Comics movies and several television shows. One such movie is The Suicide Squad and before we get whatever sneak peek we’ll be getting by James Gunn on the highly-anticipated reboot of Suicide Squad let’s take at the new and improved cast. Margot Robbie returns as Harley Quinn, who was actually the only good thing about Suicide Squad. I’m relieved.

Taika Waititi

Taika Waititi has risen to Hollywood prominence after his genius approach on the third Thor movie, Thor: Ragnarok. He’s also being recognized as a great actor as well as he brought CGI character Korg and the droid, IG-11, to life in The Mandalorian and Thor: Ragnarock.

Who he will play in The Suicide Squad is still unclear.

Idris Elba

Idris Elba is set to jump from Marvel to DC Comics in The Suicide Squad.

Joel Kinnaman

Joel Kinnaman returns as Rick Flag, the supposed Captain America of the group considering that he’s the only member of the team who isn’t a villain.

While her role is currently unknown Alice Braga (Elysium) will star in The Suicide Squad.

Nathan Fillion was reported to make a cameo appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 as supervillain Wonder Man but it was cut from the actual movie. It seems James Gunn has still found a use for the actor though.

Michael Rooker, known for his role as Yondu in both Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, will play an unknown role in the movie.

Storm Reid

Starring in A Wrinkle in Time, Storm Reid jumps from Disney to Warner Bros. in an undisclosed role for The Suicide Squad.

Viola Davis

In Suicide Squad, Viola Davis was basically the female version of Nick Fury as she starred as Amanda Waller. She will apparently return in The Suicide Squad.

John Cena

Yes, John Cena will star in The Suicide Squad and his role has been revealed, according to IMDb. He will play Peacemaker.

Peter Capaldi

Prominently known as The Doctor in Doctor Who from 2008-2017, Peter Capaldi is just another big name to star in an unknown role in The Suicide Squad.

David Dastmalchian

You may recall Mr. Dastmalchian from his other roles in superhero films such as The Dark Knight and his most recent role in both of the Ant-Man movies. In The Suicide Squad, he will play Polka-Dot Man.
