Counting Down my 20 Favorite Trailers: #15-‘The Last Jedi’ Official Trailer

The Last Jedi teaser is amazing as its spellbinding music casts me into Star Wars La-La Land every time I watch it but it’s the official trailer that still impacts me to this day. That’s why it sits here at #15. Check it out.

I used to memorize this trailer and play it to myself throughout the day when I wanted to corral my excitement for this film. I was already in love with the teaser but this one made me so ridiculously happy because it also shined a greater light on Kylo Ren, specifically his piloting skills.

And then the last twenty seconds feels so dark and dire. But what feels the most fascinating is how little the trailer shows in terms of the actual story. The Praetorian Guard scene isn’t shown and Kylo vs. Luke is a secret scene that no one knows about. I love it when there are actual surprises in the film that you don’t see in the trailer.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a fabulous day.

Captain America: Secret War (EIGHT)

Pop. Pop. Pop. Those were the sounds of gunshots at the private event taking place in Sternberg Palace. Attendants went running for their lives screaming while the harbingers of chaos walked through the museum nonchalantly.

The ones who had fired the gunshots were two criminals; a blond-haired woman clad in a tight black suit equipped with a whip and a gun and a burly man with arms riddled with muscle, a cigar in his mouth, and a shotgun in his hands. They were the Hoolie Twins. Continue reading Captain America: Secret War (EIGHT)

‘Prisoners’ Is a Creepy, Riveting Thriller

I love a good mystery and The Silence of the Lambs is the best one conceived on the big screen with Anthony Hopkins’ unforgettably iconic Hannibal Lecter and Jodie Foster’s perfect written heroine, Clarice Starling starring alongside one another in a thriller worth watching.

While trying to find something to watch on HBO Max I ran into Prisoners, a haunting thriller starring Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal that came out in 2013. It sits at #200 on IMDb’s Top 250 movies and learning this I had to check it out. Here’s the synopsis.

When Keller Dover’s daughter and her friend go missing, he takes matters into his own hands as the police pursue multiple leads and the pressure mounts. Continue reading ‘Prisoners’ Is a Creepy, Riveting Thriller

Fan Art Wednesday

It’s a fun Fan Art Wednesday! Here we go.

This portrait of Aayla Secura is beautiful, pure, and simple. This is a Jedi that hasn’t had a lot of screentime, whether that was in the movies or The Clone Wars. Plus, I haven’t seen a lot of Aayla fanart so…that makes this pretty awesome too. Continue reading Fan Art Wednesday
