A Movie Ranking: Keanu Reeves

I mean, honestly, I don’t think there are many people that haven’t watched at least one Keanu Reeves movie that they liked. His filmography is extensive, stretching all the way back to the 80s’ when he was a young up-and-coming heartthrob. Today, I thought I’d highlight the action star for this week’s A Movie Ranking. Enjoy!

5. John Wick: Chapter 2

Keanu Reeves in John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017)

John Wick: Chapter 2 is a pretty great action movie which shows just the level of awesomeness that Keanu’s films reach, considering that this is on the bottom of this menial list. If you like bone-crunching, gory action scenes that pretty much don’t stop, you’ll enjoy this movie.

4. Toy Story 4

Tom Hanks, Keanu Reeves, Tim Allen, Annie Potts, Tony Hale, Christina Hendricks, Keegan-Michael Key, Ally Maki, and Jordan Peele in Toy Story 4 (2019)

I mean, come on. Toy Story 4 was destined to be a tear-jerker and it was. It was fun hearing Keanu Reeves in this movie and now that he’s a part of Disney I hope we get to see him in either Star Wars or Marvel because that would be awesome!

3. Speed

Keanu Reeves in Speed (1994)

You want to talk about edge-of-your-seat action that feels like it just doesn’t stop. Watch Speed, a movie that has become famous for its exhilarating action sequences and unique storyline. And Keanu Reeves is awesome in this movie as he performs his own stunts, making for some real nail-biting moments. Now, granted, the end is kind of corny but whatever. The movie’s great!

2. John Wick: Chapter 3-Parabellum

Keanu Reeves in John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019)

Man, I saw this movie last year and I was stunned. It was like the Assassin’s Creed movie I always wanted; brutally violent action scenes that leave you “Oohing” and “Aahing” with fantastic cinematography to bring it all together.

1. The Matrix

Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Joe Pantoliano, and Carrie-Anne Moss in The Matrix (1999)

The Matrix is a film I’ve been hearing about for years. When I finally watched it I was mildly impressed. No, it wasn’t the best movie I’d ever seen but its concept was interesting and its characters were fascinating in their cool black attire. I was really happy when I reached the conclusion of the film and like I said, I’m glad I watched it.

So, there’s my movie ranking for Keanu Reeves.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a beautiful day.
