Interstellar was the first Christopher Nolan movie I had ever seen in the movie theaters. It was because of this trailer I’m about to show you that my family and I went to see it on a beautiful but late Thanksgiving night six years ago. So, with no further delay, here’s the trailer.
Perfection is the word I will use for this trailer and here’s why I choose such a sacred word in the English language.
- 98% of the trailer consists of shots and moments from the first hour and twenty minutes of the movie. Only two shots are shown from the second half of the film and those shots refrain from any spoilers whatsoever, leaving viewers with a chance to be truly surprised going into the film.
- The tone is somber but laced with hope due to a powerful combination of emotion and music that leaves one on the verge of tears and with chills over their entire body. I mean, that music is insane! In IMAX, it injects itself into your very soul and left me on more than one occasion absolutely determined to see this movie. I’m glad my family and I actually did go see it, for it is undoubtedly one of the best sci-fi movies I have ever seen.
This trailer leaves much for the imagination but it doesn’t hold back from providing plenty of awesomeness along the way.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day.
