Zorii or Jannah: Who’s Your Favorite?

The Rise of Skywalker introduced two new characters to the franchise, a pair of awesome female characters who helped bring extra depth to Poe Dameron and Finn’s storylines in the movie.

On one hand, you have Zorii Bliss, a fancily-clad smuggler wielding two blasters who have a checkered yet clearly romantic past with flawed yet brave Resistance Commander, Poe Dameron. Her only role in the movie is to add a little spice to Poe’s otherwise bland resume (get it, because he was a spice runner) but she still ends up managing to steal the show with her blunt awesomeness.

And then there’s Jannah, a former stormtrooper like Finn who helped lead her fellow rebellious troopers against the First Order and managed to escape to the moon of Kef Bir near Endor. Because of their similar pasts, she and Finn immediately forged a bond that would lead them to help take down the First Order together.

Of these two new characters, who is your favorite? For me, as much as I love Jannah’s story, Zorii Bliss is just a really cool character to me…and I like really cool characters.

I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a splendid day.

  1. I think for me it would have to be Jannah just because I didn’t like Zorii at all. Not that I thought she was a bad person or even a bad character, I just felt she was unnecessary to the story and kept taking up screentime that could have gone to another character. I was looking forward to TROS developing Poe’s relationships with Finn and Rey; instead, his most important bond in the movie was with some random new character we didn’t know or care about.

Jannah, on the other hand, I would like to have seen more of. Not because she was a great character, but because she could have been a great character if she’d been more developed. And, more importantly, she could have played a big part in Finn’s development and search for identity.
