QI’RA: Chapter Thirty-Four

The Meeting

Nienye stood in the lobby of the building the Imperial Captain had offered them to stay in during their visit to Coruscant, his gaze roaming the throng of individuals walking through the area to their various destinations.

He fixed the high collar of his dark blue and golden tunic, an especially fancy garment that was more fit for nighttime life rather than going to the Senate Building. But he wanted to make an impression on the political figures of the Empire, considering that he may never get the chance to be in the presence of such powerful people again. Will Loki Finally Get Multiple Romantic Subplots?

When you think of the Marvel Cinematic Universe it’s easy to immediately think of the likes of Iron Man or Captain America, two characters who have been in this franchise since pretty much the beginning but there’s another character that has been an integral part of the story since 2011’s Thor. That is, of course, the complicated villain/hero Loki.

We’ve had to watch Loki grapple with his true identity, pine for the ability to rule Asgard, try to take over Earth, become a bit of a hero, and pretty much fake his death over and over again until he ran out of luck. However, now he’s returning with his very own Disney+ series and that means for once, the story is going to be about him and solely him.

One More Day Until the Next Episode of ‘The Mandalorian’!

Before the premiere of The Mandalorian‘s second season I wasn’t that enthused about the season. I, in fact, still am retaining a sense of reserve for this season just in case it manages to break my heart like The Rise of Skywalker but I’ve got to admit, I’m really excited about tomorrow’s next episode. Here’s the second episode’s synopsis: “The Mandalorian must ferry a passenger with precious cargo on a risky journey.”

Will we finally get to see who this shady lady is? What’s going to happen with Boba? What does Favreau have in store?!!!! I’m so freaking excited I just don’t know what to do. Let’s hope it bears as much surprises as the first episode did.

I cannot wait to see what happens next!

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a beautiful day. May the Force be with you.

‘Zodiac’: Another Creepy Thriller

I love a good mystery thriller. Movies like The Silence of the Lambs and Prisoners are films that get my heart racing, my eyes widening, and leaves me riveted! So of course, being the thriller lover that I am, I decided to watch Zodiac; a movie that features the real life crime story of a serial killer from the late 60s’ through 70s’ by the name of Zodiac who was terrorizing California.

Starring in the film were three Marvel alums; Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, and its lead actor, Jake Gyllenhaal. They each injected a sense of life into the movie but it was Gyllenhaal who stole the show, his frantic youthful obsession with discovering the identity of the serial killer driving the story forward.

I really enjoyed the movie. It felt like a cross between Spotlight and Prisoners and its last twenty-thirty minutes were uber frightening. I found myself actually peeking through the fingers a few times because it was that scary.

Is this the best movie I’ve ever seen, no, but it was enjoyable.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day.
