QI’RA: Chapter Thirty-Five

Mixed Reactions

The rest of the Senate meeting went well enough but Qi’ra knew she had made enemies and she loved the prospect. Those enemies, however, confronted her after the meeting and to her great surprise, they were representatives of her fellow crime syndicates in the galaxy.

Apparently, her partnership with the Moff without the syndicates’ consent made them feel belittled by her power. And this insecurity had them quivering with rage. Continue reading QI’RA: Chapter Thirty-Five

I Love ‘The Princess Bride’!

I watched The Princess Bride for only the second time yesterday and once again, I was in love with this film; its uber-goofy yet well-written characters and humor, its ultra-romantic fairy tale qualities, that hilarious musical score…oh and we can’t forget that unforgettable script that has dozens of quotable lines sprinkled throughout.

It’s not easy running into a perfect movie but this is actually one of those rare gems. Would you believe me if I told you that I nearly cried at the end when, as the grandfather’s grandson asked him to return the next day and read the book all over again, he said, “As you wish.” Gosh, I had to hold back a tsunami.

This movie is so freaking sweet. At times I found myself smiling so much my cheeks began to ache. Of course, there was plenty of laughter involved. There are a bunch of quotes that are hilarious in this film but undoubtedly my favorite is from Inigo Montoya, and no it’s not his most famous quote, which is great, but a smaller quote tacked in the middle of the film that is so funny it has brought me to tears twice! And that is this.

‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice’ Is Fun!

Well, I just saw The Sorcerer’s Apprentice yesterday with my sister for the first time and I have to say, we both approve. Yeah, it was a bit cornballs at the end but overall it was a joyous experience that had me beaming, laughing, and riveted until the end in a similar fashion to my experiences watching the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

Besides Harry Potter, I feel like this was the first children’s movie to handle magic in a similarly fascinating light. The idea of the magic spells and the way they were utilized in the film was actually really fun and left me wide-eyed in amazement.

I loved Nicolas Cage in this movie. I haven’t watched a lot of movies with him…actually I’ve only really seen two; Face Off and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, but he was really cool in this film. I mean, a rock-and-roll Merlin-like master? The concept could’ve been ridiculous but he pulled it off.

Now, since he is a part of Disney, can he appear in a Marvel movie please? That would be awesome!

This was another one of those stories that I’ve been hearing about since I was a kid and I’m glad to see that the film was actually quite fun.

I’ll give it 4 out of 5 stars and 89 out of 100. It was almost really good but the second half slightly lost steam and got predictable.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a fantastic day.

‘The Mandalorian: Chapter 10’ Is AMAZING!

The Mandalorian just can’t seem to stop! This latest chapter, Chapter 10: The Passenger, is storytelling at its finest. No, it doesn’t focus on anything super important but it’s this film’s isolated story that makes it so special. My favorite episode from the last season was Chapter 2: The Child because it was fun, exciting, and we had plenty of Baby Yoda. This chapter does the same thing.

It honestly never lets up. No, the story does not veer into the ultimate plot of this season–find Mandalorians to discover The Child’s origins–but instead chooses to take a different path, featuring a nail-biting adventure that had me loosing my mind with happiness.

The relationship between Mando and The Child is only heightened in its uber-cuteness. And we get a couple of new alien species that were just delightful. Oh, and we got a callback to Star Wars: Rebels in a truly frightening way that was utterly brilliant and perfect for the episode.

Oh my goodness, this is my favorite episode yet!

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day. May the Force be with you.
