Okay, so I just watched The Sorcerer’s Apprentice the other day which I really liked and so yesterday I decided to tackle National Treasure which, ultimately, I wasn’t as fond of.

The story was kind of interesting but ultimately left me kind of bored. I will admit, the plot kept twisting and turning, leaving me slightly riveted until the end, but there was something so lackluster about this film.

Unlike Indiana Jones which feels like the greatest treasure hunt movie of all time, National Treasure just trudges along until it finally chooses to conclude. Now, there were some fun moments and yeah, I laughed plenty, but unfortunately most of those laughs were at the expense of the movie and not its humor.

I’ll give this movie 3 out of 5 stars and 85 out of 100. I wish it had been better.
