QI’RA: Chapter Thirty-Seven

The Sword

T-38 was nervous. More nervous than she had been for a long time. The Emperor wasn’t someone to be trifled with and he didn’t summon visitors very often. That made his audience with Qi’ra all the more intriguing.

When Qi’ra had left the room she had looked back at T-38 with legitimate fear in her gaze. At that moment T-38 wanted to jump from her chair and demand to join Qi’ra’s side with her audience with The Emperor. Unfortunately, she knew if she did, she would have disgraced Qi’ra.

‘Rope’: Another Alfred Hitchcock Masterpiece

I love Alfred Hitchcock movies and Peacock has a library of Hitchcock films to explore. One such film that I was really excited to watch was Rope and boy did it deliver.

Every Hitchcock movie, besides their directorial similarities and recurring actors, manages to be different and this was no exception. Taking place in a single apartment for the duration of the movie, Rope follows the plot of two young murderers who try to prove the perfect crime by having a dinner party in the very apartment where they killed their fellow youngster. What takes place is a slow motion mystery that builds in suspense until by the end, you’re just bursting at the seams with excitement.

James Stewart once again stars in this Hitchcock movie and honestly, it may be my favorite role of his yet. He was utterly perfect in this film with his classic brand of nonchalant humor and clear-cut good-guy qualities. He’s honestly become one of my favorite old Hollywood actors and this movie confirmed that.

Rope is an amazing mystery and if you get the chance check it out ’cause it’s totally worth the watch.

The next Hitchcock movie I’m going to check out will definitely be To Catch a Thief and then Marnie. Both seem fascinating enough and I can’t wait to see them.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a beautiful day.
