As with all acclaimed series spinoffs are imminent and there have already been some rumors that we may end up seeing several spinoffs spawn by The Mandalorian. Two of which focus on fan favorites: Boba Fett and Cara Dune.

Boba Fett has been an obscure character in the grand scheme of this series so far. He’s only been seen twice and fleetingly but that doesn’t mean he’s not going to play a large role moving forward.

These next four episodes of The Mandalorian are bound to hold plenty of surprises and what does that mean for Fett’s inclusion in this series? And is his story in this show destined to spring his very own Disney+ series featuring the retired bounty hunter and his adventures on Tatooine? Or could this series give Boba the chance to get offworld and continue his story in a way that feels both original and vastly rewarding?

The last chapter of The Mandalorian provided a little more backstory for Cara Dune. That backstory was not only fascinating but is totally setting her up as a more substantial character in this show. It seems like a prequel series that focused on her time as a soldier of the Rebellion would be one of the most rewarding series to watch.

We could see her in action against the Empire, meet her shock trooper buddies, and see her reaction firsthand when Alderaan was destroyed. We could maybe even get some time on Alderaan before it was blown to smithereens as we see her spend time with family and friends before she was recruited for the Rebellion.

Of the two series, which would I be more excited to see? Definitely the Cara Dune series.

She is such a fascinating character for a number of reasons but what makes her even more intriguing is her storyline with the Rebellion. Like Rogue One, we could see her in an epic series filled with drama, action, sacrifice, and plenty of emotional and memorable moments. It would be so much fun and I’m hoping Disney understands the value in a series about her.
