It’s been half a week since we got that ridiculously awesome episode of The Mandalorian, an episode I still haven’t fully gotten over yet by the way, and as I sit here on this Tuesday afternoon I find myself still unable to believe that live-action Ahsoka is real. It actually happened. We literally got to see Rosario Dawson as the character and she was perfect.

Just…(😢) beautiful. It’s Ahsoka…in live-action…in The Mandalorian. When we got this incredible series last year there was no prospects of Ahsoka or just exactly where this show could go. Now…it seems like the possibilities are endless.
I’m just thankful to have this show to watch and gush over every week. It makes life just that much sweeter.

I’ve said before and will say it again: I think Ahsoka might be my favorite character in Star Wars who never appeared in the original trilogy, and I’m not sure I don’t like her better than a lot of those. I haven’t watched all of Clone Wars yet, but her journey of realizing that the Jedi aren’t as wise as they claim, the anguish of going through Order 66 at the hands of her troops (and her staggering level of mercy that no other Jedi shows when it happens), to her saga of denial (even through Maul and multiple Force visions telling her) that her old master has become Darth Vader… it’s a very powerful and emotional series of story arcs, that are frankly just better executed on than many of the movies. I especially love that she’s the only character who’s willing to walk away from the Jedi but isn’t portrayed as evil or derelict for doing so. I still wish Rey could’ve gotten that chance. It would’ve made her arc more interesting if she had.

Definitely. Ahsoka was hated at first but she earned the respect of all of us for having a story that A. made sense and B. is epic! Now her live-action story begins and I’m not ready.

Yes! I couldn’t agree more. When Asoka was describing Yoda and the subtle Jedi music was playing in the background I nearly cried. I am 42 years old and this episode made me felt like a kid again. It’s like we are all reliving our childhood…together! I don’t know what it is but S2: E5 shook me to my core. Isn’t it amazing how a silly TV show can send you back in time. I wish I could thank Favro and Filoni in person just to tell them how much this means to me. They really do GET IT! Thus; I am not fretting what will happen in the coming episodes because I finally have a solid hope that my childhood memories are in good hands. Cheers!

Yes! For the first time in a while, I have no fear of what’s to come. Favreau and Filoni know what they’re doing and have cooked up the most epic thing that has ever happened to Star Wars.
