In mid-October I watched Clouds, a true story about a teenager’s terminal battle with cancer and their love for music which led them to making a viral hit. After crying my eyes out while watching that film and finding myself more than impressed I decided to give Disney+’s newest member to the original movie family, Safety, a shot. And, to my great relief, it was actually pretty good.
Safety is the epitome of the words “An inspiring true story.” It tells the story of a full scholarship football player at Clemson who, due to unfortunate personal circumstances, must take care of his little brother. The film is basic, its ending is very predictable and the general layout of the plot is simple, but sometimes simplistic storytelling is the best.
I was able to watch this movie and not once did I feel like rolling my eyes or turning it off. I was locked in from the get-go and yeah, like most Disney movies, it made me cry!

Safety is a great feel-good movie that’s perfect for the holiday season and a welcome addition to Disney+. I’m giving 4 out of 5 stars and 92 out of 100. It was well-directed, well-written, and well-acted. This was a good one, Disney+.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a spectacular day.
