Thor: Love and Thunder is currently filming and while we won’t be getting the movie until next year it’s still fun to think about. One thing I’m really intrigued to see is Jane Foster’s return as Mighty Thor and how she will look in the film. There’s one accessory, however, that I feel is necessary for her character and that is her iconic helmet.
In the comics, Jane Foster, who has been diagnosed with cancer, comes across the hammer and she becomes Mighty Thor. No one knows that this lady version of Thor is Jane Foster, a fact perpetuated by the helmet that hides her appearance.
I think it will be essential to keep the helmet as a tool of the story as Foster secretly goes on missions as Mighty Thor only to later be revealed to be Jane, hence blowing Thor’s mind in a really funny way and thus impressing Valkyrie.
Now, I know, the MCU isn’t very keen on helmets. Thor wore his iconic helmet for maybe a minute long in one scene in Thor and the only other characters who have helmets are Iron Man, War Machine, and Pepper.
Plus, I just think she would look really cool and fierce wielding the hammer, kicking butt, and wearing this helmet. We’ll see what happens but overall, I’m excited.

I’ve often seen this movie, Snowpiercer, as I filed through the movie library on Netflix but I never decided to watch it…until yesterday. The film, written and directed by Bong Joon Ho, the same brilliant man who wrote/directed the historic Oscar-winning movie, Parasite, stars Chris Evans in an intense sci-fi movie unlike anything I’ve ever seen.
Snowpiercer, set in the near-future 2031, follows the story of the last dregs of humanity who are forced to live on the most incredible train ever built after the world is completely frozen into ice following the events of global warming. All life on Earth is extinct and life on the train for the poor is savage.
We enter the movie with the poor citizens of the train preparing to revolt. What transpires over the next hour and fifty minutes is utter plot-twist storytelling that gripped me intently, leaving me in utter silence and in tears.
WandaVision is four episodes in and while it definitely appears that we are getting somewhere with this story it seems even more clear that this show’s format is unusual.
I’m okay with thirty-minute episodes of a show but those shows have a common blueprint that feels normal. WandaVision feels like each episode is the half of a whole, hence the most satisfying week of episodes was the first week when we got that two-episode premiere.
Imagine having only the first episode that first week. Fans and casual viewers alike would’ve been seriously disappointed, but with two episodes we got to understand the show’s vibe and were ready for the next week.
Episode 3 was more episodic in tone as it dealt with a single subject, concluded that subject, and left us with a nice cliffhanger BUT Episode 4’s basic rewind of the last three episodes which leads to practically the same conclusion as Episode 3 left me feeling a bit hollow, I’m not going to lie. Then it clicked yesterday. This probably wasn’t how the season was supposed to be.
So, for the last month I’ve been binge-watching all 7 seasons (minus 6 or 8 boring episodes) of The Clone Wars after The Mandalorian‘s second season came to an end. The initial plan was to watch The Clone Wars to occupy my days leading to WandaVision but what started as a mere pastime as I waited for the next original Disney+ series I was super excited to see became somewhat a personal mission.
Over the last thirteen years thanks in huge part to Dave Filoni, LucasFilm has been giving us top-notch storytelling via its television shows. Yeah, everyone thought us Star Wars enthusiasts were lame for watching the Star Wars cartoons but it turned out the cartoons were giving us some of the best Star Wars content ever made. A fact proved every time something pivotal happened that helped connect the dots or expand upon the characters in the movies.
Binge-watching all 7 seasons of The Clone Wars for the first time has been a real joy for me, as I have had the privilege of carefully following the evolution of the characters which all lead to a rather tragic (and tear-inducing conclusion) in the final episodes of the series.

Ahsoka’s growth from Season 1-7 is, in my opinion, the best evolution of any character in Star Wars. We see her grow from young and arrogant to become someone wise, powerful, and more knowledgeable of the true ways of the Jedi than the actual Jedi who were willing to cast her out of the Order based on a lie.
What I found most fascinating was her slow evolution with Anakin and how she began to notice his overly aggressive ways. A lot of times, she had to tell him to back down from doing anything too rash or she would simply give him the side eye when she thought he was behaving too harshly during an interrogation. It was those subtle moments that give us, the viewer, a hint that she, like us, is seeing Anakin slowly become someone dangerous, unhinged, and unknowingly dark. Oh, it’s fascinating stuff.
Now that The Clone Wars has come to an end, I’m moving on to Revenge of the Sith which is undoubtedly going to leave me sobbing quite a bit towards the end of the film. And then after that, I hit Star Wars: Rebels, my personal favorite Star Wars television show so far (The Mandalorian will have to have a killer third season for me to finally rank it as my favorite Star Wars show) which is going to be so fun. I love that Ahsoka plays a part in it.
And then, of course, once I’m done with Star Wars: Rebels, it’s onto The Mandalorian, the show that gave us Ahsoka frickin’ Tano in live-action! Just…wow!

Okay everybody, it’s week 3, the fourth episode, and yeah we’re finally getting somewhere but that doesn’t mean the show is suddenly starting to make sense.
We’ve finally been given an explanation about S.W.O.R.D and Monica’s involvement, which was awesome by the way, but the question (“What the heck is happening?”) still hasn’t been fully answered.
I know the next episode of WandaVision is tomorrow but geez, the suspense is killing me! Ever since last week’s episode concluded I have been eagerly awaiting the fourth episode to see what happens next and now that we’re so close to getting more answers to this mystery I am just giddy with anticipation.
WandaVision has fascinated me ever since I first heard about it but now that I’ve seen it, I love this show even more. By the end of WandaVision, I know it will be one of the best stories told in the MCU and that its implications for the future will be rather grand indeed. Ooh, I cannot wait for tomorrow!
