Captain Marvel 2 is getting closer and closer to begin filming and now the primary cast of the sequel is growing a little further.

British actress Zawe Ashton has been reportedly cast as the main antagonist of Captain Marvel 2. This leaves me to wonder who will she be playing?

I have already expressed the idea that she could be playing Karla Sofen a.k.a Moonstone, a psychologist who comes into contact with a Kree Gravity Stone on the moon and assumes incredible power such as pass through matter, project laser beams, and with two of these stones she can control gravitational forces, create force fields, and she can crush an enemy by increasing gravity.

This sounds like quite the antagonist and could be a perfect individual to give the likes of Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau, and Ms. Marvel a run for their money.

We’ll see who she’s ultimately playing but overall, I’m excited about this casting. This is turning out to be one of the most diverse Marvel movies ever made and I am SO ready for this sequel.
