‘WandaVision’: Now That’s What I’m Talking About!

Okay, it’s happening. It’s really happening. The mystery has ended. The reveal has been sprung. And now my mind can’t. Stop! Racing!!!

This episode was all kinds of good. The humor was spot on. And yes, it got scary again.

There’s just so much to digest here but I’ve got to say, even though I haven’t been particularly fond of Teyonah Parris’ acting in this show (she’s the first actor in the MCU whose acting I feel has felt a bit forced) I totally freaked out when she gained her powers. It was so cool! So rewarding! So freaking exciting! She’s about to become so powerful and I just need her reunion with Carol asap.

Second, I loved Vision and Darcy in this episode. They really brought a lot of the comic relief and Vision just had me cracking up.

But of course we’ve got to talk about that reveal. Agnes is in fact Agatha Harkness but to see how she’s manipulated everything up until this point…

I was really expecting Mephisto to be behind everything (he still might) but clearly, as of right now, Agnes is the real villain…unless we still haven’t been introduced to Mephisto. She did always talk about her husband “Ralph.” What if he’s inside that creepy book? And what happened to Wanda’s kids? Oh no. This is getting so scary.

It’s safe to say this episode delivered and now I’m about to watch it again.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a fantastic day.

  1. Yeah. Agnes being Agatha was one of the theories I’d seen around. In some ways I was half hoping it wasn’t going to be true because it was a little too obvious of a hint with the name. That said, the red herring last show where she pretended to be stuck in the hex herself did fool me, too.

But… Pietro showing up independently to catch Monica makes me ponder whether or not Agatha is acting alone, yeah.

The pseudo-Office style of this episode cracked me up a bit though.

    1. Oh, I loved the sitcom theme this week. I thought it was more like Modern Family with an Office-style intro but yeah, it was really hilarious!

I think Pietro is basically a dummy controlled by Agatha. But we’ll see next week.

      1. Yeah. I have my doubts that Agatha is acting alone. It’s seeming possible that Pietro is a puppet, yeah, but there’s still the matter of what I’m calling Chekhov’s Fly on the curtains.

  2. We really enjoyed this episode. Ewan guessed Agnes was Agatha Harkness from the beginning of the series (nerd!). He also thinks Ralph could be Mephisto as we haven’t seen him yet. We both agree that Dotty has to be a red herring. Can’t wait for the next episode! 😁
