Yesterday morning I began to read Light of the Jedi and wasn’t that fond of the book. Then, after taking a small break, I started reading it again last night and suddenly I was beaming with joy. I was blown away by the sharp contrast between the Jedi by the time of the prequel trilogy who had truly become hypocritical warmongers whose rebuttal for every disagreement ended in violence. The Jedi of the High Republic truly feel like guardians of peace and justice; powerful men and women whose selflessness is on full display for the galaxy when the Great Disaster happens.

I found myself just overwhelmed by how happy the book made me feel. I’m already beginning to love these new Jedi and if we ever get to see them in animation or live-action one day I’m going to flip! So yes, I was talking smack yesterday but that was yesterday. Today, I cannot wait to delve deeper into this story and get even more invested in these characters.

And The Nihil are actually pretty scary, lol. I thought they wouldn’t be but yeah, I have a feeling they’re going to be quite the opponent for the Jedi.
