Scoob came out last year to dismal reviews and I was a bit bummed. As someone who has watched a bunch of Scooby-Doo movies over my lifetime I love sitting back and watching the latest installment in a franchise that never seems to get old.

So yesterday I watched Scoob and I was surprised. Its got a dismal 47% on Rotten Tomatoes and 5.7 out of 10 stars on IMDb and yet I have found the film to be perfectly fine. Maybe it’s the pop culture references that threw people off but it’s like any other Scooby-Doo movie…with maybe a bit of a cheesier storyline than usual but ultimately it’s still pretty good.

Maybe people didn’t like that they decided to clash superheroes with the classic Scooby-Doo theme but I know if I was a child I would enjoy this movie.
