One of the reasons why I have always been so blown away by Marvel Studios is their impeccable casting choices. I’m talking since the beginning; Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, you get the point. Marvel Studios knows how to cast!
The last great casting of characters that I feel cannot be replaced are Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther and Tom Holland as Spider-Man. And then there is Wyatt Russel, the newest member of that perfect casting list that Marvel Studios has absolutely nailed.
A decade ago, Wyatt Russel was 24-years-old and actually auditioned for the role of Steve Rogers a.k.a Captain America. Of course, he didn’t get it and a certain Chris Evans did but…he went for it. Low and behold he would be approached again but this time to play his replacement; John Walker, a version of Captain America that is the exact antithesis of Chris Evans’ Cap.
