The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is almost over but that doesn’t mean our time with Marvel is coming to a close anytime soon. In fact, we’ve got seven new installments to the franchise that we still have yet to see; Loki, Black Widow, What If…?, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Hawkeye, The Eternals, and Spider-Man 3.
Yeah, that’s a lot…and I am excited! But what am I most excited to see next? Well, it’s almost hard to choose isn’t it?

Loki is pretty much the most chaotic character in the MCU, specifically 2012 Loki. He’s conniving, mischievous, and downright dastardly. And now we’re about to get a Disney+ series featuring this guy and all of his shenanigans. It’s hard not to get excited about a chance to see more with this lovable villain and wherever this series could take us narratively. But is this the next MCU installment that I’m most excited about? I’m not quite sure.

Black Widow is finally coming to theaters and it feels like this movie is going to be quite a ride. It’s definitely going to be action-packed. It’s going to be more emotional than most people may anticipate. And we’re finally going to get the chance to resolve Natasha’s journey.
I’m so pumped for this film and a big reason why is because I want to see her adversary, Taskmaster, in action because he seems like a bad***.
Plus, it just looks like this is going to be a good movie.

It may be animated but I’m kind of really intrigued to see what this series is all about. I love what-if’s and this will just be fun to watch.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is brand new to me and because of that I don’t know what to expect. So even though I am excited to see this it’s definitely not high on my excitement list.

Hawkeye is a lot easier to get pumped about because there is more to grasp. And Clint Barton is the perfect character to flesh out in a series that could really delve into the emotional core of the character, his past as Ronin, and maybe why he wants to officially, for the last time, retire the mantle and live out the rest of his days as a civilian.
Then there’s The Eternals, a movie I’ve been waiting for since it was announced. I tried to do some research on these incredibly powerful beings and even then I have no idea what to expect with this film. But, with Chloe Zhao at the helm, I have a feeling we just might be in for another outstanding ride that becomes a pinnacle of comic book movie excellence.

And finally there’s Spider-Man: No Way Home which may or may not come out this year. (I’m still skeptical because you never know.) Oh, I’m excited, especially with the possibility that Doctor Strange may, in fact, be in the movie. And apparently we’re getting a Spider-Man multiverse featuring all three Spider-Man actors (Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland) and their primary antagonists.
But of these seven projects, what makes my heart pitter patter at the thought of watching it?
I’ve got to say, despite being very excited for The Eternals and Hawkeye, I’m most excited for Loki. The implications for alternate timelines and whatever other multiverse surprises Marvel Studios can throw at us in this series is very intriguing and I am here for it!
What about you? What are you most excited to see later this year? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a spectacular day.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision have both been great. Surprisingly great, if I’m being honest. I’m looking forward to the Disney+ MCU shows more than the movies.

I haven’t heard of her before but she looks like a good choice. I know a lot of people wanted Angela Bassett to do the part in the first movie over Halle Berry. Angela might’ve been too intimidating but Kiki looks like a good middle ground between her toughness and the doe-eyed Halle. I think of Storm as tough but still showing innocence.

That’s a good one. I was having trouble coming up with a Johnny Storm. I still like the common fan-casting of John Krasinski and Emily Blunt as Reed and Sue. Alice Eve is another good choice for Sue.
